Can AJ's chin withstand Wilder's power?

Except I didn’t say I’d agree with it. It’s a real thing. You watch boxing, all the bit ching and hissy fitting doesn’t change that — had that been AJ in the UK, the ref likely stops it and Wilder most def doesnt get that little break later either. Wilder threw like 4-5 desperation paws in about 45 second of him being worked. We’ve seen stoppages for a lot less whether we agree or not.
Also, I’m not British (if that’s what you meant). On a roll today it seems. Relax, Deontay Jr.Last edited by NearHypnos; 07-11-2018, 03:16 PM.Comment

If he was serious then my bad. THEre is no reason for that level of supreme hatred. But you’re right. If you question AJ then you must question wilder. It both their chins seem decent to me. Both have heart and decent recover time.Comment

Not the short right hand Wilder normally puts guys out with, that is a nasty punch that he always catches guys with because they think all the stuff is from far away and wide then **** they are getting wheeled out of the arena and into an ambulance.
Joshua is easy to hit and his best punch is an uppercut, so if that is the exchange Wilder has a pretty clear advantage because a short straight right hand is way faster to the mark than an uppercut, unless Wilder misses the right. Now if Joshua can land the uppercut Wilder would be in obvious trouble but, that is a really risky punch for Joshua to throw because of the above.
Go back and watch the punches Wilder actually hurts people with and you will understand it is not the wild punches that hurt guys even if the fight ends with them, they get hurt before that and if they survive then Wilder goes ham on them but a lot of times the fights end there. Wilder sets it up pretty good too because he manages to catch the guys that were trying to be really tricky or careful generally. If Joshua just thinks of Wilder as a wild man he already lost the fight probably.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 07-11-2018, 03:46 PM.Comment

Don't know about Joshua's chin against the right windmill, but Jennifer will be exposed by her lack of boxing basics... Bad stance, bad foot work, bad defense... I don't give her much chances beside the usual lucky out of nowhere right hand to equalize things... Easy meal for Joshua if he just "boxes" the usual way, which Jennifer can't do by lack of skill set ...Comment

out of all the bull**** i read regarding this fight and the ignorance shown, nothing is more ridiculous than the narrative that its joshua whos got the weak chin and wilders is proven. wilders delicate around the whiskers, was very close to being stopped last fight and weve seen him wobbled in the past against fighters like molina. not saying joshuas got the best chin but im telling you if joshua lands flush on wilder (which he will) hes gonna do the alabama shuffle. its not a boxer vs puncher, its a puncher who can also box versus a puncherComment

So you're more of a pure boxer fan?I agree they are. IMO Wilder throws poor shots and lacks the boxing IQ and skill to set them up. I just have never been impressed with him. He has size and power. He is a novice boxer that sometimes looks like he has no clue how to box.
Watching him fight is not a pleasing experience outside of the hard shots he throws. ALl that said, I agree he can catch AJ because he hasn't shown to be that elusive.
I will be pulling for Wilder to win but I just don't see it.Comment

for some reason after almost getting stopped and taking an age to recover against ortiz, people seem to now rate his chin higher than they did. the level of ******ity on this forum is beyond crazyComment

That's the way I see it. I dont know if these guys aren't watching the fights or they just find it convenient to call Wilder wild and looping. Not the short right hand Wilder normally puts guys out with, that is a nasty punch that he always catches guys with because they think all the stuff is from far away and wide then **** they are getting wheeled out of the arena and into an ambulance.

The puncher who can box doesn't always win those fights. Especially when the puncher who can box has stamina issues and the puncher doesn't. If Joshua can't land flush through round 3, he will be in a world of hurt. It takes a lot of energy and concentration to avoid Wilder power shots.out of all the bull**** i read regarding this fight and the ignorance shown, nothing is more ridiculous than the narrative that its joshua whos got the weak chin and wilders is proven. wilders delicate around the whiskers, was very close to being stopped last fight and weve seen him wobbled in the past against fighters like molina. not saying joshuas got the best chin but im telling you if joshua lands flush on wilder (which he will) hes gonna do the alabama shuffle. its not a boxer vs puncher, its a puncher who can also box versus a puncherComment
