AJ doesn't have the greatest defense and Wilder, for all his crudity and supposed lack of skill, has never failed to land his powershots against ANY grade of opponent.

Joshua will have to find a way to take that power or negate it in some way.

If he doesn't, he will lose.

And before you say the opposite is just as true, remember that Deontay is very mobile- just as much or more so than Parker.

The difference is, Wilder will have the reach and length to still inflict punishment while mobile, not just fight to survive as Joseph did.

Wlad is a proper heavyweight and hits like one, wlad would of KO'd the stiverne of stiverne vs wilder 1 with ease (imo) look what he did to the much better and much more dangerous povetkin. wlad would of slept washington clean and tidy. wlad is suddenly reduced to a bum on here ive noticed when he was literally invincible for a decade

The Wlad AJ fought looked great but there is no denying the deterioration observed in the Jennings and Fury fights. THAT's the Wlad AJ beat, not the guy that grabbed and held Povetkin all night yet did spark him once or twice too.

Wilder actually has one punch KO power compared to AJ, just go look at AJs recent KOs. Both have been rocked and survived. I find it funny how people claim certain fighters have no chin but don't mention their favorite fighters. For example, people will say Wilder has no chin but they won't say Manny has no chin, especially when he's been dropped and KOd before. Marquez too. Jacobs had no chin and all of sudden he's some world class fighter after moving to HBO.

Yet couldn't KO Jennings which Ortiz sparked or Wach who was KOd by Povetkin and Miller. So it's a stretch to say Wlad would have KOd those fighters.

Wilder has more power than AJ. AJs KOs come by accumulation of punches where the ref steps in, Wilder pretty much puts them to sleep. Wilder hits AJ with a big punch and that will be all. If AJ lands a big punch on Wilder, Wilder might get rocked and AJ would need to follow up. Just go look at their KOs, theres a big difference between them.

                    No.

Also Ortiz has more power than AJ.

                      .
Ortiz had success hitting Wilder whilst Wilder was attempting to be mobile with him and Joshua is a hell of a lot faster than Ortiz. Pretty much every opponent Wilder has faced has had some success landing punches on him lol.

Beyond that Wilder tends to be open for the counter when he's throwing and Joshua is quite an adept counter puncher. I'm not suggesting that that is what is going to happen... Wilder could just as easily land a crisp power shot on Joshua early and knock him out, but to try and claim that Joshua doesn't have the attributes to do the same right back to Wilder is just not true.

It's a 50/50 fight if ever I saw one, which is why Hearn has been doing his best to make the negotiations as painful as possible...
