here's what roach said regarding what happen after the horn fight. if manny wont even talk to him, how did he tell manny to rethink about what he really wants to do if in this statement he said pac wont even say hi to him. lol. this is why i said freddie is lying about this.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach says that in the immediate aftermath of Manny Pacquiao’s loss to Jeff Horn he wanted to check up on Pacquiao’s mindset in the locker room — but instead got a bit of the silent treatment from his fighter.

“I was trying to see where his head was at,” Roach says. “And I could not even get him to say hi to me. I don’t know if he was upset with me or what.”

“I really don’t know if he’s mad at me,” Roach says. “But I can tell you this: I haven’t been paid yet. So who knows?”

That's consistent with what this article says.

"I was trying to see where his head was at..."

Meaning, he was telling him maybe he needs to choose between being a senator and being a boxer.

"I couldn't even get him to say hi to me."

Meaning, Manny wasn't responding to anything he was saying.

"I really don't know if he was mad at me."

Meaning, he asked the dude if he was mad at him, and Manny just looked at him and smiled, not saying a word.


How is what you posted any different besides it not specifically saying what Roach was saying to Manny that he wasn't responding to?

Where does that say he was urging him to retire??????

the guy is fluent in multiple languages, plays multiple instruments, and started out punching people in the head, now he's a senator and a rich and famous person.

he isnt dumb.

he just didnt grow up educated in suburbia like many citizens from first world nations.

now after he got dropped for buboy, he's trying to save face by justifying the reason why manny possibly dropped him. when in the interview after the horn fight, he doesnt mention anything about talking to manny. he said he couldnt even get pac to say hi to him. LOL!!

Well hey, if you would have read the entire quotation, you could have figured it out for yourself.

“I said either we retire or fight a rematch at this point,” Roach said. “Which decision? We should take some time and watch the fight on tape, and then I’ll have a long talk with Manny about what’s the best place to go: To fight (Horn) in a rematch, or possibly retire, or go on to bigger and better guys. Those are his options.”

“I think what’s on his mind is what we talked about, having two jobs and you can’t really do both. I hope that sunk in to him so he thinks about it."
