Especially given the fact that they all pretty much thought Lacy was going to ruin Joe. He was the next big American superstar, but Joe put the brakes on that. It's only now they want to rip Joe off and make ****** claims that the win meant nothing. That's a lie. So it is a shame to see people like you dogging him. But then again, boxing fans are the worst of all sports fans. Absolutely disgraceful.

You're as predictable as they come.
Give praise to American fighters who have done absolutely nothing, but **** on a legit great fighter. You're are disgraceful clowns.
So many brits who actually followed Calzaghe's lackluster career identify it as such. Legit great fighter Good joke.

Lacy is and always was garbage. The fact that he was given ridiculous unwarranted hype is irrelevant.
Lacy beat no top fighters, won a vacant belt over an unranked fighter. He did nothing to suggest he was a top fighter.

and the signs were there if you really looked. he barely squeeked by omar sheika and was in a very close fight with syd vanderpool before getting a dubious ko. this was not some guy who was ever going to be a top fighter unless he seriously improved his game. people picked against calzaghe cause calzaghe was like vasaly senchenko. a guy just hoarding a belt fighting past it fighters and nobodies.

Vanderpool was a good fighter. So that's not a bad win for Lacy.

he did what he should have and you want to give him special credit because he wasted the fist ten years of his career? also ggg has beaten more top 10 fighters and just fought the top 3 guys in his division(2017 rankings) so yeah i'll take ggg anyday. and when you factor in that ggg is some guy from kazakhstan and didn't have any backing from promoters, networks, or his country and calzaghe had uk and network backing and yet ended up with that crap resume?
its clear calzahe wasn't interested in becoming a great fighter until the very end of his career when he thought he could make up for treading water and doing nothing. froch is a much more accomplished fighter than calzaghe, beat better fighters, and took more risks oh wait hes from the uk so i guess i hate him? stop with your straw man arguments
