Lacy was a top guy who just happened to lose to the very top guy at the weight. It's happened throughout history. Not Joe's fault he ruined Lacy and he was never the same again. But if Joe would have refused the fight, he would have been hounded for ducking.

If you would have asked everyone at the time of the fight if Lacy would be a great win should he come through, every one would say yes. Omar Shieka ruined Lacy before Calzaghe.

Lacy beat no top fighters, won a vacant belt over an unranked fighter. He did nothing to suggest he was a top fighter.

why are you talking about ducking lacy? i dont even understand where you are getting that from. he was thinking about doing that like he ducked glen johnson but warren convinced him he could win so he took the fight.
