Comments Thread For: Khan is Firm, Feels Canelo Should Get Life Ban - Blames Politics

Back May of 2016, former world champion Amir Khan took a dangerous risk by jumping up from the welterweight division to a catch-weight of 155-pounds to challenger Canelo Alvarez for the WBC middleweight title. That contest headlined the first ever boxing event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Nobody is buying the hair sample bull. The 6 month ban is an absolute farce. He made Khan move up to 155lbs whilst using PEDs to make the weight so he could maintain as much muscle mass as possible, which meant on fight night he had 20lbs weight advantage. Should be banned for life, its attempted murder.

Maybe not a lifetime ban, but how about the same punishment for the exact same offense that Erik Morales got? 2 year ban, for 2 failed tests, and guess what.....blamed it on tainted horse meat he ate in Mexico. That excuse is so old and ******, boxers that keep using it now should get banned for their ******ity if nothing else.

It is a legitimate reason not an excuse, people who know a lot more about doping acknowledge that the reason is legitimate.

He's a professional boxer, if he can't skip certain dishes where the meat is likely to be tainted then he should retire and focus on an eating career instead.
