If Floyd wouldn't get in the ring with a prime Mosley, Cotto, Pac, or Freitas, Casamayor, Wright, Williams, Margarito, Martinez, etc., he sure as hell wouldn't get in the ring with a prime Hearns. The Hitman would pummel Floyd into submission. Late round TKO.

Hearns definitely is a bad style matchup for Mayweather but it's really hard to say how this would go down. No one ever looks like they do in their highlight reel when they're actually fighting Floyd. He'd 100% find some way to slow the pace and make it a very careful tactical fight.

How about Floyd v. Hearns at 135, which is closer to Floyd's best weight instead of Tommy's

Hearns didnt have the pressure to beat Mayweather, at hearns distance he wings and telegraphs too many shots, for a fighter with the greatest defensive eye period......We all saw how SRL movement and Benetiz D bothered hearns; Floyd is all that in one plus more, coupled with being the best offensive fighter by numbers......

SRL with his speed, pressure and workrate troubles Floyd more, it would be a tough 7-5 type fight.....Hearns on the other hand is too dumb not get in a slugfest and find himself on the canvas after seeing he cant touch Floyd

styles make fights, floyd rolls his shoulder and hearns lands the right hand high on his head.

hearns was able to shake up marvin f#cking hagler, maybe the toughest and for sure one of the most durable MW ever, hitting him high on the head.

how do yuo think floyd does against the same puncher?

floyd would give up half a foot of height [and much of hearn's height as at the shoulders, making him effectively even bigger than that,]
                  half a foot of reach
                  punching power
maybe even quickness! really! these are the things he'd give up to hearns!

floyd mayweather would never even fight tommy hearns in his prime. that's just how he was moved. too much risk. you can fight 10 robert guerreros and not take that kind of damage. even ray leonard, a more durable, physical, and bigger WW got busted up against hearns!

the guy didn't fight prime pacquiao, cotto, margarito, retired when WW was heating up with such historic notables as josh clottey and paul williams, what makes you think he's fighitng arguably the best puncher ever at 147 or 154 lbs?

I don't see Floyd outboxing Hearns, and I don't see Floyd risking what he would have to risk, to get inside on Tommy
