This is the one fight where I can see Floyd get dominated.
I think Floyd would also lose to Sugar Ray and Duran, but those fights would still be close, Floyd would be a tough fight for both. But Hearns would dominate him for 12 rounds, that's if he doesn't stop him. Hearns had too much size and is a bad style match up for Floyd.
At 147, Hearns wins a wide decision.
At 154, Hearns knocks out Floyd. This ^The problem with Floyd is he doesnt fight an inside fight mid ring so he cannot use an inside fight plan and getting to the inside means walking into very powerful punches and that leaves him being set up by the piston jab by Hearns and when the right hand connects, Floyd is crushed. When Floyd fights off the ropes, it is against much smaller fighters. Floyd cannot turn puncher because his power cannot turn a fight around. Hearns would maintain distance and keep unloading on Floyd while Floyd retreats to the ropes. There is no game for Floyd, no safe haven that would work against the freak of nature that Hearns was. And Hearns had lightning speed that makes those power punches even more difficult to avoid.
Hearns jab too long, too quick, too powerful, would keep Mayweather at bay all night long. Hearns decision every time
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Dunn is taking the mick, don't worry he's messing about
Who would you favour out of mayweather vs pernell?Comment

Hearn's had a great jab and was much busier with his combos. And when he lands that long right.... Mayweather would be doing well to see the final bell, but he doesn't have the activity to get any kind of decision here.Comment

Yeah, this is about how I see it.This is the one fight where I can see Floyd get dominated.

Floyd never wanted it with tall guys going back to Vivian Harris and Paul Williams
I think 140 would be fair and I'd actually have Floyd beating a weight drained Hearns at that weight.
He'd take him deep and drown him by UDComment

I'd probably go with Floyd.Comment

bad style matchup for Floyd. Hearns is harder than SRL or duran for floyd.
I think floyd gets outboxed, hearns had very fast hands a huge reach and height and a great jab and right hand. He can box floyd on the outside and floyd doesnt have the power at 147+ to hurt hearns either early or late in the fight.
I dont think floyd gets stopped though, he doesnt even have a proper knockdown his whole career, his chin is iron, his defense impregnable and you know he is going to be super cautious with hearns. That cautiousness will make it hard for him to win rounds too.
Floyd dont have the power to rough him up on the inside, he will probably box on the outside and hearns has too much reach and speed for floyd to try to pull counter him, hearns can land from far away without over extending himself. Floyd almost always has the reach advantage. You saw how awkward it was for floyd with mcgreggor who had a longer reach.
Hearns outboxed SRL both fights. He lost the first in the late rounds when he was tired and SRL had no choice but to go for the kill because he was behind in the fight.Comment
