    Multiple times actually.

Or are you just going to ouright deny this?

I'm absolutely calling BS on that. Arum made it clear Oscar would never fight Vernon Forest or Winky Wright.

So why did Winky say it then?

You do know that he is quoted directly multiple times stating he turned the fight down?

Winky was willing to fight Oscar for peanuts but no offer for any amount was ever made, never. All the talk about 6 million is BS, it never happened. Arum said NO!

        Winky himself said it!!!

As for Shaw last month turning down $6-million (plus $6 per pay-per-view buy above 600,000 homes) to fight Oscar De La Hoya ?

"He offers everyone else $10, 15-million," Wright said, referring to the $10-million Felix Trinidad got for beating De La Hoya in 1999. "I ain't doing it."

        Direct quote from Winky Wright.

        Turned down 6 million dollars.

the man has a fair opinion, no need to discredit anything he said..
many others have a different opinion but doesnt mean any of them is right or wrong...

For all the young heads on this site, they should really check out some Winky Wright fights. That man had one of the most solid defenses around and his 1-2 game was SICK. HE was just too defensive to become a bigger star but he was a very well rounded boxer, very good.

What? Direct quote? Repeating BS doesn't make it real.

The phantom 6 mil offer never happened. The so-called 6 mil pay day came from one poster that referenced an article in the St Pete Times that also never happened. There was never an article just a blow hard poster and repeating a fake comment doesn't make it real.

                Yes, precisely.

Winky was offered 6 million dollars (a career pay day) and he turned it down.
that article doesn't say he was oferred 6 mil to fight Oscar. It only says someone from Oscar's camp made a low proposal. The only mention of 6 mil was an offer to fight Floyd.

I absolutely agree. where people think Canelo resurrects himself to decisively beat GGG is beyond me. And the P brains that say GGG got old since the last fight need therapy. GGG beat diva 8 to 4. That's some pro trainers and other boxing pros that have scored this. I say GGG beats him even worse this time.
