That is only partially true. Abraham had the belt and he beat him convincingly. Most of his challengers have not been very good or rated by most in the top 10 but they were better than bums. He mentioned Benavidez clearly by name in the post fight interview last night as one of the other 3 champions he wants to fight to unify 168 and that's a fact, Fact King.

Abraham and Hart aren't bums and he keeps calling out and mentioning Benavidez who he spars with regularly

Just wondering, did Ramirez have much of an amateur career?

He's beaten 3 decent fighters including and old Abraham. I'd pick Benavdez to stop him.

Ancient Arthur Abraham was a bum who was ripe to have his title taken off his hands. TR will never match him versus Benavidez because it isn't in-house and they know Ramirez will lose

              I like Gilberto

But he’s definitely enrolled in the Top Rank program of getting the Bob Arum strap ( WBO ) through a vacant or by beating the weakest strap holder and then spending a
Couple years making title defences against little to no hopers. Zurdos competition is sh.it especially for a strap holder

Oscar Valdez is also enrolled in the program and I imagine so is Ramirez.

The funny thing is these fighters spend years beating on C class fighters never fighting legit threats and somehow get elevated among the top of their divisions by media and fans.

I think that would be too much of a test for him. Dont think Arum will allow it.

168 is pretty weak, but Ramirez still hasn't fought any top guys. He beat old Abraham who is about 10 years older and a foot shorter.

If he was fighting in a more hot division that people cared about, then he wouldn't be able to get away with fighting all these no hopers.
