We don't know the provisions of that contract, but it's very likely that Canelo was liable for damages... so , it's also very likely that he was somehow forced to actually take this rematch in September... (which is not the case with Wilder and AJ)...

Hmmm So Let's see Canelo not being a champion but still offering the champion (3 belts) a 70-30 was fair the first fight. Ggg team thought so. I'd put AJ up with Canelo.
