Got to Congratulate Oscar ....He does put on good fights ...matches are competitive.....Don King and Arum have been doing it longer.....I dont like Arum because of his political views ..... Arum does have the 2 best fighters ( BUD & CHENKO) in the business thoughComment

yeah, Oscar says that but looking at Diego De La Hoya's resume, I recognize none of the names on there...Comment

Let's not act like Joshua isn't still facing his mandatory who's top 5 in division, if not #3. He's also had 4 tough bouts in the last couple years. Brook, Degale also had some tough fights. Not every fight is going to be the best opponent.
The biggest issue that I've had with Oscar as a promotor is that he had Canelo in 3 straight meaningless fights instead of really trying to give fans the fight that they wanted at the time. That, and I find it hard to believe that a promotor has nothing to do with the ridiculous scorecards that Canelo gets in what seems to be every big fight.
All fighters going to have some easy bouts, but the key is compared to what other options were out there & were you willing to give something up in order to make the fights the fans wanted to see? If not, then it's hardly matchmaking for the fans sake.Comment

They're all risk adverse for the most part...unless the payday is big enough to compensate for it.

None were calling for Khan or Smith. It's not like he chose Charlo's, another tough JMW or even someone to gain experience towards the Golovkin showdown at MW. They cherry picked.

147-155= 8 lbs
147-160=13 lbs
Brook would of had a much better chance at 155. Even an idiot like you knows this.Comment
