He beat them both in rematches, so he beat everyone he faced. He smashed Rahman unconscious. It's widely acknowledged by knowledgeable boxing fans that he's one of the best ever. George Foreman even said he was the GOAT. He beat everyone in his era, apart from Bowe who blatantly swerved him.

I wasn’t a huge Lewis fan, I was more of a Holyfield fan cause of his toughness and willingness to fight bigger stronger guys. But I agree with Lewis and I have said this before, these guys fought each other to see was the best, to show the world. Today boxing is way more of a business. Credit to Lewis cause he did fight the best and won.

Lewis wanted to fight him as soon as Tyson got out of prison in '96, but King chose Holyfield instead because they thought he was shot.
Tyson even said he would have preferred more warm up fights after the Lewis fight. He'd been having warm up fights since his ban ended in '99.
