If you didn't have an issue with Hearn waiting a week to send a contract, you can't have an issue with Finkel saying they'll send a signed version at the end of the week.
The truth is, neither has anything to do with who is ducking.
Any time a contract is sent, lawyers have to review. And then they review the *********s. You are at their mercy and they aren't always on standby working for one client. And not just the lawyers...your whole team has to review each version for comments. On Hearn's side. On Finkel's side. So to pretend this was the reason is silly.
Some of you guys are great posters who are only biased when it involves your nationality. I beseech you guys to look at things holistically and stop getting caught up in the micro with the hopes you'll be proven right.
1. When Wilder began a hard push for this fight, Hearn said he had to fight Whyte first. When Wilder said put Joshua's name at the end of the contract, Hearn balked. And then he changed his mind after the fact (to the press).
2. When Wilder was supposed to be ringside for Joshua-Parker, Joshua's side balked. Then they changed their mind (to the press).
3. As the pressure mounted, Hearn offered Wilder a $12.5 million offer that was, quite frankly, insulting. Note that Hearn admitted that the fight was worth more in the US. Also note that Hearn said Joshua's next fight was likely to be in the US versus Miller. ALSO note that Joshua was to rematch Klitschko in the US.
Yet they got a dream offer of $50 million for a fight in the US (worth more than the other two)...and turned it down because they prefer the UK.
What does that tell you? This isn't about Joshua...this is about Hearn.
So he lowballs Wilder again except Wilder accepts. Then they go back and forth and the day after Finkel says they will deliver the signed contract at the end of the week, Hearn says they are moving on.
You can argue the micro points. But when you look at things holistically, you have to point the finger at the one guy whose job it is to protect his investment and treat fans like idiots. Guess who?
