I want to see the fight as much as anyone else. But, Wilder needs to come to terms with reality. Floyd and Manny were getting 10X as much to fight opponents who weren't even earning $2-3M per fight. These opponents knew their worth and accepted the fight, knowing they had no other options to earn higher paydays. Wilder is 40 fights into his career without a signature win and the average stiff on the street never heard of him. The WBC belt is his only leverage.

      ^ Correct

Which is why the Joshua camp did everything in their power to delay the fight as long as possible while trying to save face.

In what way? Deontay isn't a money champion he is a people's champion. He has been taking short money for most of his career. All he wants is to get his hands on the belts and then the money and the sponsorships will follow. He was willing to take less money to fight Joshua before Anthony became afraid of taking that ass whooping.

Joshua is not Floyd chief. Not close. You're comparing a guy who's had a handful of meaningful fights to the highest paid athlete of all time. Surely, you, a Joshua fan can even understand the difference. This is likened to when Floyd fought ODLH when they were both champions, etc. If Joshua can turn down 50 million when Wilder was due to get only 20 or so, there's a problem and it SHOULD be obvious to you.

Exactly! I know the Brit fan boys don't want to hear this but his team feels threaten by him that's why they keep moving the goal post.

Ortiz is his signature win thus far and he accepted their 15 mil flat fee offer. Hearn supposedly isn't responding to emails to add the date and venue so the contract can be signed, heck he didneven address any of the stuff Finkel last spoke about, he jus t came out saying the WBA wants an answer and that their gonna fight Povetkin. He is dodging the issue, I wish he was just up front like his old man and just say they don't want the fight next

Shirley confirmed the points were addressed but they need 5 days to sign it and return the contract for whatever reason

Let’s not try to spread lies

                    Fact is

The reason the fight never happened was because wilder never signed. Aj did sign

He got paid what he was worth. In 40 fights he hasn't fought anyone noteworthy. He almost got blasted out fat Ortiz. People's champ is not a title, and you cannot call yourself a people's champ if no one even knows who you are.

When Floyd had a 6-fight contract with SHO which allowed him to cherry-pick his opponents, he was getting a guaranteed $32M to fight guys like Ortiz and Guerrero who were only getting $2-3M. Even Canelo only made about $5M to fight Floyd. They were champions too, but they knew their place. AJ has earned $15-20M in his last few fights, Wilder only $2M or less, so where does he get off demanding more than he is worth?

At this point we really don't know exactly what was on the contract. AJ's party says they signed the contract and Wilder refused to sign. Said they offered him $15M. Not sure what Wilder is saying because he's half insane. His win over a fat Ortiz after narrowly escaping a TKO, is not all that impressive, especially when you consider that was his 40th fight.
