On Tuesday June 19th, we requested a clarification of two points. They did not respond. I requested them again on Thursday, June 21st, and we finally received a response on Friday, June 22nd.

"Two days later, on Sunday, June 24th, I sent them a letter acknowledging Eddie's email of June 22, telling them they would have the contract back by Friday, June 29th. Since the contract did not state the date or the venue, I also asked for that information. These are the facts and Matchroom will have the contracts back to them by Friday, June 29th."

Finkel said it will then be up to Hearn to address the issues he pointed out

“I asked them on Sunday what date and what venue and they wouldn’t tell us, because they never wanted to do this fight.”
Wilder's team are guilty of trying to play a game of one-upmanship, when it's AJ and Hearn who hold all the cards. Wilder's people should be doing all they can to make this fight, shouldn't leave themselves open to any criticism. "Oh Eddie fooked about, so we fooked about to show him we can't be messed with..." Nice logic.

going public thru social media has been in his best interest. he's been calling hearns BS every time on social media, hearns tries to do the same thing but contradicts himself every time.

Hearn: Ok we sent him a contract (no one knows what conditions he put in)

            2 days later ....

Hearn: well folks AJ will fight the bum Povetkin..

AJ and Hearn fan boys; oh Wilder is scared he doesn't want to fight...

This is exactly what happened, see how ******ed that is...

You send a contract but are negotiating with fat Russian boy

I don't even think UK fans believe this sh**....but they have no choice but to keep defending the fraud even they know the truth

You are chasing a fight with a hugely popular "A side" champion, and you firmly believe you will beat him if you can ever get him in the ring.

And you believe his promoter thinks you beat him too, and will do everything in his power to prevent you from fighting him, but is playing PR games by pretending to negotiate.

And those PR games actually go as far as him sending you a contract - and telling you, "Sign this quickly, because the WBA are about to order us to fight our mando"

              What do you do?

              Do you:

              (A) - start going over the contract with a toothcomb, picking out details and saying, "mmm .. I need this clarifying .. I need that clarifying ... stop trying to rush me .. I'll sign when I'm ready to sign, not when you tell me to ..."

              (B) Shout, "Yeah .. yah bastards ... I've got you now!" And sign the contract immediately.

Wow you lot are getting stressed on here. Both sides are just playing the money game to promote the future fight. Same way Mayweather chatted nonsense for what seemed like 15 years about McGregor, just to increase eventual PPV's. That's all this is. Chill out people.

P.S. Wilder is a tw*t though isn't he? 😉 Think it's all fake just to (I say again) sell more PPV'S?

Knowing how conniving and slimy the Hearns are, you have no choice but to go with (A). Deontay Wilder has a career to think about, not just one fight. The main issues his team had were the fact no dates or venues were suggested. Wilder would be an idiot to sign a contract and then have to wait for Hearn to pick a date which gives AJ a big advantage. It is not a big deal for Wilder's team to seek clarity.
