    Haymon and DAZN???

I was at the gym last night for just a light workout. A fighter that is signed to Haymon trains there frequently. He mentioned that he spoke with Al and Al told him his next fight might be with DAZN and it didn’t even click to me at that time what DAZN was until I seen the news about Bellator.
Word on the street is that Haymon is looking for another avenue for a few of his fighters because he has so many. I hear a deal with DAZN maybe a possibility.
Seems like they are giving money out and since Hearn has nothing to offer them I think it would be a great move. I think Haymon should do it maybe it would make the Wilder-Joshua fight happen. Haymon has the better fighters and he has more fighters. Al also puts on the better fights and he knows the American market better, between the two Hearn would be useless to DAZN at that point. I said yesterday that some of Haymon's fighters should absolutely be fighting on DAZN. And heck, if Bob wants to put them on his network, then do that as well. He has too many fighters to keep everyone active with just fighting on SHO and occasionally on other networks like FOX, FS1, Bounce tv, etc.

And Hearn wants to just out right sign Haymon's guys which may not be easy to do. So in the meantime it would benefit him to just put them on DAZN and then eventually try to sign them after the streaming service proves to be some sort of success and the options after two years will be picked up.

Sort of, but not really. I've definitely heard loud whispers about Hearn and Haymon working together with DAZN.

And Hearn certainly wouldn't be useless. He would be the lead promoter on all fights on DAZN in the American market basically. If he out right signs the fighter, then he pretty much controls who they fight and when they fight and for how much. That's what he has tried to do once the DAZN deal was made public.

This could make sense. Now that PBC (on free TV anyway) is pretty much dead it's very logical that Haymon would be looking to go in another direction. He has too many fighters in his stable and not enough dates. DAZN could be the right platform for him and some of his fighters.

I think if Haymon did work with them and get his clients on it would be mostly under Hearns promotional banner which would be good.

Haymon is a great advisor and Hearn a great promoter. Much better than shifting guys around to different promoters like DiBella and whoever.

Well this could be what he was talking about. I thought about that also

Exactly. And Haymon is trying hard to get a deal done with Fox Sports that will be on their digital platform that they are interested in doing next year, but no guarantee he locks that deal up. So in the meantime go with as many platforms as you can.

If HBO's budget increases, why don't they give Al a call and try to get some of the PBC cards? Now that they have lost TR, it makes a lot of sense.

Hearn will absolutely have a rights exclusivity for DAZN which allows a split for matchroom and revenue cut for any fighters not under his banner fighting on his primary US platform .

Same as with Sky in the UK. You can't have a fighter from the UK or Ireland fighting on sky box office or Saturday fight night without Hearn having a split.

He got a fat split for the Klitschko / fury fight on sky..and neither fighter obviously had anything to do with matchroom.

I’m talking about Haymon taking his fighters to do a deal with DAZN without Hearn. Why would Hearn be the lead promoter for a Haymon fighter? The promoters probably wouldn’t change for Al it would probably be Lou Dibella, Schafer, and Mayweather Promotions same promoters he’s been using
