WBA : wilder has taken too long. Fight must be signed with povetkin or aj stirpped

Gilberto Mendoza said: "Today the WBA requested an answer from Anthony Joshua's team regarding his fight with the mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin.

"The WBA have allowed over a month extension to negotiations with Povetkin and also ongoing discussions with Deontay Wilder.

"It appears the Wilder team have not returned the contract for the fight and therefore we are requesting a date for the Joshua versus Povetkin fight with immediate effect."

Makes sense while wilder stalled out for so long, as wilder has not returned the signed contract, looks like wba has had enough

Wilder has come out and said on instagram he won’t sign....truth has come out, he never wanted it

Hearn probably called the WBA everyday begging them to make this ruling

Another one sided organisation, are they involved with negotiations? How would they know if Wider is taking long? Unless Hearn put them to it. There was no need for the last bit of that statement.

this is exactly what eddie hearn had in mind when he was delaying sending a "contrac" with no date and venue

everyone can see what hearn is doing....only an idiot would place blame on wilder and his team....

            More info here:

Anthony Joshua could be made to wait for a Deontay Wilder fight after the WBA ordered him to sign for a mandatory title defence against Alexander Povetkin.

It seems all you care about is Wilder not getting any sort of blame.

                Right on the money.

This was a stall tactic from Hearn to delay talks till Povetkin's team/WBA got involved.

Both guys should just cancel talks, fight there upcoming fights and restart talks right away.

**** all round to be honest. Nobody wants to see povetkin and nobody wants to see wilder Vs breazeale.

If ryabinsky is happy with step aside which he seemed to be then Mendoza should have just stayed quiet and accepted the larger sanctioning fee and given exemption for longer.

If this does indeed turn out to be Hearn asking the WBA to sanction mandatory then he's done it for one of two or both reasons.

Doesn't want the fight or wants to put one over on finkel.and wilder.

It doesn't matter either way.. we as fans have been robbed of the fight we want to see. Il reserve judgement until more clarity is there before blaming one sole party for this.. but definitely **** the WBA regardless for this ****e
