Not a betting guy, but would bet all night on Jacobs winning this. I can admit when I'm wrong, but nothing I have seen of Derveyanchenko is impressive. Also, who the **** has he beat? It's like his name just popped out of nowhere amongst all the Ukrainian hype - which to be fair is because of actual really good fighters like Loma, Usyk and arguably Gvozdyk atm.

Derev just ain't in that league, I'm sorry. I can't see him beating GGG, Canelo, Jacobs or BJS.

EDIT: Before some of you get your knickers in a knot, remember Vyacheslav Shabranskyy? I do. I remember when he had hype behind him as well, then he faced better opposition in Barrera (TKO'd bransky) and then Kovalev murdered the guy. Another Ukrainian guy that had this hype about him and failed miserably. I see Derev going the same way

Guy who's talking about Hearn signing Jacobs - it's because it's a great investment.

There are big money fights to be made at 160, because Canelo is there, and to a much lesser extent ($$$-wise) GGG. Hearn saw what we saw, which was Jacobs holding his own against the top MW GGG, and so he figures he can work DJ into another title shot, preferably against Canelo and BAM, he has made back on his investment big time.

Think of DJ as an object that was purchased. That object has a high % chance to bring in lots of money down the road in a fight against Ca$hnelo as some people call him.

That being said I'm rooting for Chenko. If GGG beats Canelo in September, I have a strong feeling hes gonna want that IBF strap back. I'd rather see GGG vs. Chenko than a 2nd fight with Jacobs or God forbid a 3rd Canelo fight. Also I hope somehow someway Saunders loses that wbo belt to charlo or anyone really that dip**** has been holding the belt hostage so long I'd rather him not get the opportunity to cash out on it with anyone.
I'd bet Danny and Sergei have spared dozens of times. Might actually wind up boring and technical

                Jacobs destroys him
                Another bullchit fight
Funny how they try to force it down our throats
They make it sound like this will be competitive
As someone said earlier , imo , this will be one of those boring technical fights with Jacobs not wanting to ko his opponent

He's getting paid more with hearn in his purses than he was with Haymon.

His fight viewership for both fights under Hearn was watched by more people than watched him beat quillin.

He isn't just fighting for a title because GGG got stripped either.. he fought an eliminator in arias.. and a final eliminator in sulecki to become mandatory for the WBA .. so even if he didn't fight this time against derevyanchenko he is mandatory for the WBA super belt held by golovkin.

At least do some research before pouring scorn over someone..the facts are easy enough to look up.

You are right — Derevyanchenko is a little bit overrated at this point, but he's way better than Shabranskyy! The possible Derevyanchenko vs Jacobs fight is way closer to a 50/50 fight than some casuals on this forum predict.
