The tweet that "the Winkel is satisfied" wasn't exactly true. The it took them 4 weeks to accept my offer statement wasn't exactly accurate given that there was negotiation going on for those 4 weeks.

Hearn doesn't tell bold face lies. He mostly tells half truths that lead people to believe what they want to believe. It's his job to manage public perception so I don't dislike him for it.

For now, we wait to see if he makes the two requested modifications and gets the contract back to Winkel. If Team Wilder is trying to avoid the fight, Hearn can simply point out that their request was unreasonable and he decided to move on.

Satisfied infers that the clarifications provided an agreeable result. He provided the clarifications and it appears that based on those clarifications Winkel requested contract mods.

Bottom line: Yesterday Finkel says Eddie will have the contract back by Friday.

Wrong. Finkle was sending the contract back unsigned. He wanted 2 things changed about it before he signs it. So Hearn would have to draw up a new contract and send it back to be signed.

The WBA have given Hearn 24 hours to make a deal with Povetkin, so no, Hearn hasn't all of a sudden called things off. We all knew the WBA where there in the background so things had to move fast. Finkle obviously was going slow on purpose to force AJ into a fight with Povetkin so he could claim he was ducked when no such thing happened.

If they really wanted the fight then why would they attempt to low ball Deontay with a 12.5 Million flat-fee which they knew he wasn't going to accept? In addition, why did it take them four long weeks to respond to Deontay Wilder's $50 Million counter offer?

Likewise, why did it take them a whole week to send over that revised version of the contract after Wilder had agreed to fight them on all their terms? If one would think they were serious, then they would have caught the first red eye flight out of the U.K. And hand delivered that contract to Wilder in person themselves but they didn't do that.

Why? It's because they didn't really want the fight. Moreover, when Deontay accepted the contract, why did they say that the fight wouldn't take place in September at Wembley because Joshua needed more time to prepare and train for a fight of that magnitude but yet has agreed to fight Povetkin on the same date and venue before sending it to Wilder in that last contract?

Finally, why did he omit the date and venue of the fight in the last contract to Wilder? Why? It's because he was in secret talks and double dealing with Povetkin's people over those particular details all along. That was the reason for all the delaying and stalling tactics; They were in private negotiations with a third party.
