Kudos and big ups to Gennady Golovkin for standing his ground. He forced Oscar to bend more than usual because De La Hoya has a lot riding on this fight. He has a lot of sponsors lined up for this particular bout. So the pressure was definitely on him as the promoter to get this deal done and contract signed as soon as possible or he would have risked losing a lot of his credibility as a promoter and not to mention the collateral damage it would have done to his company's good name and reputation had the fight had fallen through because this fight was over a year in the making and he has made a lot of promises to lot of investors since that time.

Well he still didn't get the monetary respect he was after cuz you said he wanted 45% and it was reported he wanted 50% but at the end of the day still got 42%.
