What was childish about offering $50M. What was childish about negotiating a deal? How is it a delay to take time to review a contract before signing it? All that article said was that Wilder got the contract Monday night and is reviewing it. The same contract that was supposed to be sent last Friday.

You obviously don't even know that the WBC also pulled Ortiz from their rankings, which was why his fight with Wilder was cancelled and Wilder fought Stifferne again instead of him.
Ortiz appealed against the WBC suspending him and was allowed back into their rankings to fight Wilder on another date .. "cough" .. Haymon.
But the WBA stated that he didn't appeal against their suspension, so it stayed in place for 12 months.
Hearn intended to promote a fight between Ortiz and AJ in the UK. That was why he signed Ortiz with Matchroom and gave him an easy fight on AJ's undercard against Dave Allen, who had just had the **** knocked out of him for 10 rounds by Dillian Whyte in his previous fight.
All Ortiz had to do was not get beat and not get popped for PEDs again and he would have been AJ's next mando in line, before Povetkin.
But he decided to sign with Haymon and fight Wilder instead. Probably because he knew he didn't have a hope in hell of beating AJ.Last edited by kafkod; 06-20-2018, 09:16 AM.Comment

Hearn tried to negotiate a percentage with Finkel after he rejected the fixed fee offer, but Finkel cancelled their meeting and refused to talk to him.Comment

So, you said Wilder had been sitting on the contract for a week. That turned out to be false. You ignored the fact that Hearn missed his deadline by 3+ days. You ignored the fact that Hearn is insinuating that Wilder will sit on the contract for weeks even though he agrees to the terms already (is there some hidden language in the contract?) You ignored the fact that Hearn has tossed about Oct November and Feb as potential fight times yet is complaining about the need for a longer than 8-week training camp.
You claim Hearn is being professional but at every juncture he seems to be speaking negatively about Team Wilder and trying to convince the public that Team Wilder doesn't want the fight or is hindering it.Comment

So there was a huge delay from Wilder’s side, do you understand now?Comment

Hmmm...offering the fight or just negotiating, just as Wilder and his team have. Remember, we are only at this point because Team Wilder is accepting a purse lower than what they feel they should get in the UK and significantly lower than they would get if the fight were in the US.

That's the first I heard of that. How did you find out that the cancelled meeting was to discuss a percentage. I mean you would think that if a percentage was cool for Hearn earlier, the latest offer which Wilder accepted would have been a percentage. Instead it's a flat fee.Comment
