My bad. I didn't know. So 12 weeks is ok.
But I think 8 weeks is ok as Josh trains all the time anyway. It's how effective you train i would ve thought.

I think he's better now, he's ticking over in training. But as he admitted himself he's getting into camp a little heavy, and for the biggest fight of his career he needs to be in tip top shape.

Of course Wilder would take this fight on 6-8 weeks notice because it's literally his only payday. Similarly to how Wilder has treated his own opponents in the past.

Joshua is in a totally different position.

You know,I'm a Joshua fan and I favor him over Wilder,but hearn really just needs to shut his mouth at this point. Every word that's been coming out of his mouth lately has been an excuse or a roadblock as to why the fight can't happen. Either shut up and make the fight,or move on to fight with povetkin.

Hearn is being possibly overly cautious, but he does make some good points. The Povetkin and Wilder outings will be Joshua's two biggest fights. And indeed Joshua needs whatever full camp he needs to be 100% prepared. IMO we'll see him fight Povetkin this year, Wilder next year. Which I can be patient enough to wait for. These will be two excellent fights, and I doubt many boxing fans want any excuses afterwards from either camp.

How can any boxing fan not want Joshua/Povetkin and Joshua/Wilder? In either order. I'm fairly certain we'll have seen both fights by this time next year.

There's an article in the LA times where Wilder says he's received it and 'mulling it over'.

Eddie Hearn has confirmed he's sent the contract and in this article says that Wilder should hurry up. nothing else.
