I don’t really see the point in fighting the Porter-Garcia winner, especially if it’s not his next fight. They’re both Thurman victims. The only fights that really matter for Spence at 47 are Crawford and Thurman. Crawford is gonna be tough to make. And Thurman is busy turning himself into the welterweight version of Adonis Stevenson.

I think it’s time for Spence to move up. He’s a big welterweight. And at some point in his career he’ll likely compete as a middleweight. Hurd and Jermell Charlo are the big dawgs at 54. Obviously he’s not gonna fight Jermell. Maybe he could make something with Hurd. Or, fight the Munguia kid that just beat Ali. Either that or go really big and make the jump to 60 and target the Canelo-GGG winner. He could target someone like Billy Joe Saunders in an effort to make himself the most attractive option for the Canelo-GGG winner to fight in their next fight.

He can't move up until he fights Crawford! I'm hoping for Crawford in 2019, and Canelo in 2020! I know Jerry Jones would love that fight (Canelo) in Dallas!

If I'm Spence I stay at 147 for 2019, and get what I can get! Garcia vs. Porter winner should be easy to make by Winter. Hopefully Thurman should be ready be by Spring, if not, then Crawford! Now if Mikey Garcia is serious about fighting Spence, he stays for that! If Mikey is not serous, then Canelo should be the target! Canelo vs. Spence in Jerry's World is the biggest fight Spence could ask for! They're both the same age, same height! They'll both be in their prime in 2020! It would be funny if Spence asked for a CW of 155! Imagine Canelo's response! Lol!

For Spence, the Porter-Garcia winner is a pretty pointless fight IMO. I don’t think Thurman has any intentions of fighting him. Crawford is gonna be hard to make. I just hate seeing good fighters hanging around a division waiting for fights that may or may not happen.

Crawford has already made it clear that he's got no problem with letting Bob Arum dictate his matchups for him. As long as Arum covers the guarantee, Crawford fights whomever, whenever.

Ideally Crawford will fight the winner of Pac vs Lucas for the WBA regular title. Once he acquires that he can force Keith Thurman into a unification fight or get him stripped.

Unification trumps mandatory, lol. Thurman would have the option for fight Errol Spence Jr instead.

Beyond that, any forced bid on the fight would amount to Crawford only getting 30% of any bid anyway. With no incentive to change the split, Crawford would be left having to fight whenever and wherever Thurman wanted to fight.
