Only person to blame here is Brook. Dude got balls and chocolate brownies, not sure about the brains.
Short layoff after Golovkin? He fought Spence 8-9 months later. That's a short layoff?

both golovkin and spence decisions was his own pride. he was the one that wanted the fight after eubanks jr backed out. he was the one that felt he can make 147 when in fact he had struggled the last 2 fights to make 147 vs spence. no different when dawson felt i can make 168 vs ward or oscar thinking he could make 147 vs pacman.

I don't know anything of the healing process of his injury so is 8 months a long lay off for that injury bearing in mind he can't spar a good while after the operation? How much earlier should he have fought?

I'd say Rigo and Gamboa were both handled more poorly.

Took his best shot at 2 of the very best and came up short but at least he took a shot. Beterbiev is the name that comes to my mind.

              AND Walters too

Eh, fair enough. I shouldn't have said short layoff. Considering he had his eye socket broken though, I think he should have taken at least this long (8-9 months) and fought a tuneup at 154, instead of squeezing into 147 and taking on a dangerous puncher just to get his face broken again.

doesn't mean his career wasn't mismanaged.

Dude has almost never been in an easy fight

That MW fight was a joke, did some serious damage to himself and his career longevity. He has balls though

The socket they operated on held up good though. Too bad the other side got messed up by Spence
