I do agree that it’s an untapped talent pool, especially in lower weight classes, and the MLB have long been doing recruiting missions to convert would be cricketers because they have some fast arms amongst them.
If I had a bottomless pit of cash to invest in grass roots boxing to find the next great HW, I’d start in Africa before India. Some big and tough dudes in Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Nigeria etc

Apart from cricket I can’t really think of any top Indian sportsmen. It’s not a hot bed of athletes like west Africa for example
