  • He has to fight an A level opponent. One major part of p4p rankings is level of opposition. That is why Butterbean was never on p4p lists. Indongo and Horn are decent, but they are no where near elite. P4p champs fight the best. That is what Mayweather did. That is what Ward did. That is what Loma has been doing. Bud is the same size as DSG, Thurman, and Spence. And Porter is in the same division. And when Bud was at 135, Khan, Matthysse, DSG, and Peterson were all considered elite fighters at 140. Bud waited til they moved up, then unified a division void of talent. None of his opponents, in his entire pro career has been considered a top fighter, an elite fighter. If Bud ever fights elite opposition instead of picking cherries, then there is a good chance he will be considered #1 p4p.

Broner and Guerrero were both won titles in multiple divisions, without fighting any elite foe. They were ranked on p4p lists. Then they fought elite opposition. I believe Bud is much better than either of those, but no one can know for sure until he fights someone with a chance. So until Bud grows a pair, then Loma and others will remain above him p4p wise.

    • Ward is far from a coward. He's actually the last 'hero' from Us boxing standpoint. Kovalev was getting a huge following, smoked some poor fellow with the jab, Ward steps up and whoops him. Late. He gave Kovalev a life changing boxing lesson. Ward rose to the occasion and handled his business. To any that disrespect that, I sympathize.

Ward needs to come back but I feel like he'd make a better coach.

That's your contention on Gamboa, Postol, Indongo and Diaz. I prefer to go more on what was said pre-fight. Judging by your tone I'm guessing you were in the "Crawford is ducking Postol" crowd and thought he had his hands full. Postol was not average. He was a clearly skilled and avoided fighter coming off an excellent win. He didn't "run" from him. He boxed the breaks off him and was walking him down late. ****, he knocked his ass down twice and rocked him also. Gamboa was a 2-1 favorite and had been ranked #1 at 126, 130 and even fought a few fights at 135. He was clearly talented.

Indongo I don't see as a special fighter but he was a unified champion who'd gone and scored two dominant wins on the road as an underdog and Bud broke him. It's possible also that Prograis is a beast himself and that Indongo coming off a devastating loss shouldn't have accepted such a fight on short notice. Diaz also deserved the W over Peterson and then Bud beat him to a pulp. He recently lost a close decision.

Crawford is ruining some guys and perhaps some guys weren't as good as they had looked in certain fights. They can't all have been bums nor all world beaters. Felix Trinidad was a guy who used to crush fighters and they'd never be the same. Revisionist history doesn't make me re-think the Reid and Vargas wins.
Indongo was unified in name only. Never beat a champion . Won two vacant belts vs c list opponents. 140 might be the worst crop of fighters in decades, and the only ones who had talent (Prograis and Garcia) Crawford was steered far away from them.

Mikey Garcia whoops Crawford at 140.

        • All he has to do is beat a top level fighter. None of his opponents were top level. A victory over Thurman would be fine, and a W over Spence would be amazing. The rest at 147 cant be considered Top level fighters.

So youre a victim if you state facts? LOL, youre probably one of the cowards.

Indongo best defending IBF champ Troyanovsky and then defending WBA champ Burns.

No point even reading the rest when you are so factually inaccurate.

              • Ward is a great fighter but I’m very surprised that he said that if he said that

Your post is so off base it’s not even funny. First ******** don’t care about straight men . Most ******** are white feminists, **** and women of color in urban areas. African American men are one of their top targets why would they show them with strength over a white man? Go to-any ******* city and see how many single parent homes and ******** clinics you find.

                  • Walk on water. I'll tell you what he has to do. Unify the welterweight division. Beat Spence and Thurman. Then we can talk

Ring has GGG at #1 because it's owned by GB and it makes Canelo look like a god if he wins. Same reason they ignored their own rule about stripping the ring belt from someone who fails a drug test.

Regardless, I have Loma at #1 and GGG/Crawford at #2. It was a 3 way tie until the Linares fight.
