Spence won't be dominated by anyone in the division. Too big, too strong, and too skilled. If he gets stopped, he will be stopped late in the fight, and I think that is what happens when he meets Crawford.

people just overreact after every fight. i guarantee if/when spence does a number on ocampo they will all start saying 'oh wow maybe he'll just walk through crawford after all'. theres a lot of posters on here who dont seem to factor standard of opposition into performance, a lot of posters. one thing ive learnt on this forum is a fighter gets way more credit for beating a bum in good fashion than they do for beating a solid fighter in a close fight. thats why people are already putting crawford ahead of thurman in the welterweight standings. in fact thurmans got less hype about him ever since he beat porter and garcia but lost a few rounds lol, his stock fell.

It can go either way IF Bud can handle a top 147 pounder....Now what can help me pick is can Errol handle a skilled southpaw? That would answer a lot.

Crawford has good infighting ability and is usually able to throw and land body punches inside. He’s good at covering himself up when someone gets close.

Spence is a mid range fighter with limited head movement and slow feet. He’d have a very hard time consistently closing the range IMO and be countered a lot coming in and inside Bud will be tough for him too. Bud has the better IQ also so it would be Spence having to adapt to losing the early rounds.

I really want this fight. It’s the most interesting in the sport IMO.

There's no question that Crawford is the better and superior boxer. My only misgiving about him is that he likes to fight off the back foot too much with his constant movement. In addition, his punch volume is very low as he likes to fight in spurts. This could play right into Spence's hands if he doesn't land something hard or anything of significance in order to gain Errol's respect.

The truth is, Bud is going to have to gain Errol's respect and he won't do it by constantly circling out of harm's way. He is going to have to settle down on his punches more against Spence or he'll get steam rolled. Make no mistake about it. The more Crawford moves the more Spence would be aiming for that rib cage.

If that happens then he is going to have to fight. He is not going to take care of business by being overly cautious and constantly moving, circling and running off the back foot while pot shotting in spurts. He is going to have to come forward and throw punches and hopefully hurt Erroll by letting his hands go because the thing about Spence, he is a fierce infighter with a relentless body attack.
