Ortiz is cut from different cloth. As a Cuban amateur he was as accomplished as many of his compatriots, although he could not get the better of the then estimable Odlanier Solís in five attempts. As a professional he soon became the ogre nobody wanted or needed and he toiled anonymously until two years ago when, in sight of challenging the winner of the world title fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury, he failed a drugs test. Then another. In stepped Anthony Joshua. Out went Klitschko. On foraged Ortiz.

Why would he want a non PPV fight for less money with no Wilder next as a reward ?

He gets far more money in a Parker fight which stylistically is less threatening to him and will get Joshua anyway bc Hearn promotes both ....its a waiting game no matter who he fights .

Parker is a bloody hard fight, he should be given credit for taking him on! Let’s not forget wilder has already turned down a best ever payday to avoid Whyte also so fair play also to Parker. Let’s not pretend that you didn’t just read this article so hopefully you are not ignorant enough to think it’s possible for Whyte to not have just ducked Ortiz? If you don’t believe this is true please state your case before the world.

What you could be ignorant to is the fight picture several years back. What may need to be explained is that Ortiz was Vlad’s mandatory and he was promised the winner between Vlad and AJ. Vlad had to think over the rematch and decided to retire. At that time it should have been Ortiz verses Joshua. However Hearn moved a later assigned Mandatory in place to keep from having to fight him?

Yeah you don’t know anything about boxing.

Ortiz was about to be mandatory but failed a drug test and lost his shot. Whyte called him out for years, to say he’s scared of him is absolutely delusional.

Ortiz hasn’t done anything amateur pro to make anyone duck him. He’s either lost or looked like dog **** every time he stepped up.
