Because he was going to make a lot less money against Ortiz or Pulev and he'll still become #1 in the WBO if he wins this fight

Are you familiar with Mobb Deep's 90s hip-hop classic, Shook Ones?

Says who? Even if it's not an official eliminator, Whyte is already #2 and will be the highest ranked guy left if he wins after the Joshua/Povetkin fight

He will still have to fight WBO eliminator probably against Miller so he is basically where he is at today

Also it's funny how they were b1tching about WBC giving Ortiz a chance at mandatory after losing his last fight and now hoping WBO to do the same thing

Parker is arguably a tougher fight. But more to the point:
Pulev was low money and a lot of uncertainty with the promoter who won the purse.
Ortiz was a tough fight but only made him a secondary mandatory anyway, and probably would have been harder to make ppv in the uk than Parker.
He doesn’t really need mandatory status, if Joshua is champ he will get a shot anyway and if he does best Parker , he will be seen by most as third best in the division and therefore right up there for a shot as it is.
This could well become WBO eliminator by the way so could well end up being the exact same as other two status anyway

Less risk more money. Parker has no power, with the judges in UK it will be an easy cash out

Parker will be favourite and rightly so in this fight.

Didn't Hearn say they were asking the WBO to sanction it for mandatory?

If he can't get the KO he loses
