I dont like this move either but this time, instead of the WBC messing him about, he has made his own decision so be it. If Whyte comes in shape, he could beat Parker.
I don't get it, why would Whyte not fight his eliminators???

The politics are that he can't get a world title shot.
A rematch with Joshua isn't required until he gets into a mandatory position.
Povetkin is/was supposed to be WBO & WBA number 1 contender to both of Joshua's titles.
Breazeale is supposed to be mandatory to Wilder.
Hearn has probably gave Whyte promises for a world title shot, got outbid for the IBF mandatory, forced to travel, clearly didn't fancy it...he would actually have gained a LOT of respect if he went into Pulev's backyard and lay heat on that ass and show everyone that he is ready.
Ortiz would have been a heavy nights work for him also.
At least with Parker you have a guy who isn't not a real big hitting heavyweight and presents something of a safe option. The reason this is on PPV is to give Whyte a payday because Hearn couldn't 1) deliver a world title fight/final eliminator and 2) he has PPV dates he needs to cover!Comment

You have said it all.... Great choice, good reward.Well the WBC eliminator wouldn't of guaranteed him a title fight any time soon as it wasn't even for the mandatory and with Wilder going almost 3 years before making his first mandatory defence I think he wanted a shot at a title before 2021.
As for the IBF and Pulev, this is the 3rd fighter to pull out if an IBF eliminator with Pulev. Breazeale didn't want it, Miller didn't want it, Whyte clearly didn't want it. Do you know anyone in the IBF rankings willing to fight Pulev for 25% of the split? If the IBF want Pulev involved in an eliminator they will need to trash their 75/25 split rule.
Plus this fight with Parker is on PPV, would any of these other fights been PPV and made Whyte likely a multi million dollar purse, I think not.Comment

Joseph Parker please do us all a favor and knock him out. TIRED of feeling like I'm being force fed Dillian Whyte who is a decent fighter but I give him ZERO Chance of beating AJ or Wilder but yet somehow he always finds himself in the mix despite not really beating anybody since...

Eddie seems desperate to make AJ vs Whyte rematch which I honestly don't even know WHY!Last edited by sicko; 06-07-2018, 02:33 PM.Comment

I will explain, won't fight Pulev because he would get peanuts, there is no money there and boxers fight for money. He won't fight Ortiz because he is ranked number 1 by WBC already so that eliminator would give him absolute nothing.Comment
