Question for all posters to this site: Do any of you get paid the amount of money you think you DESERVE or do you get paid based on some sort of set market rate or a rate that you negotiate if you are an independent contractor? Well then, why in the world do some of you think GGG should be paid on what you or GGG THINKS he is worth rather than what the market says he is worth.

Please ignore this question if you are one of those folks who believe he is paid MORE than he thinks he is worth.

If you have an understanding of the general worth of your skill set there should be no reason for you to feel underpaid. If you feel that way that probably means you failed to negotiate adequately during the initial offer of employment and left money on the table.

That being said, the situation between ggg and canelo is slightly different than negotiating a salary at some company. Any prospective employer can easily replace you regardless of your work experience, the success of the corporation doesn’t necessarily depend on you being brought on board, unless you’re a c level executive. There is no replacement for either fighter (ggg/canelo) that could reap the same magnitude of monetary profit.

That being said, it is reasonable for ggg to negotiate for a fairer split, it just doesn’t necessarily mean he is entitled to it. Bottom line is the sum is greater than its parts, and canelo’s team should think about making concessions in order to make their biggest pay days as well.
