Originally posted by hitking View PostYeah that’s a storyline that has kinda disappeared. During the buildup to the Parker fight. It was almost a given that if both won, AJ would make his US debut against Big Baby at Barclays. Guess that kinda went away when the $50M offer came. The excuse for not taking the $50M was that AJ wants to fight in the U.K. That would be a hard sell from a PR standpoint. Even to a fanbase as ****** as AJ’s.

Originally posted by hitking View PostI think the competitor in AJ wants the fight. But from a business standpoint, it probably makes for AJ to put the fight off for awhile. What’s being lost in all the AJ-Wilder talk is that Tyson Fury is attempting a comeback. And not only does Fury have a lineal claim to the true heavyweight title. AJ-Fury is probably a bigger fight in the U.K. than AJ-Wilder. I wouldn’t doubt that Team AJ secretly wanna do a Fury fight before taking the risk against Wilder. But like you, I wish they would just come out and say it instead of playing all these PR games.
