Canelo vs Jacobs will do pretty good numbers because it's probably going to be the best mainstream fight of the year and really one of the only 50-50 fights of the year. There's Gassiev vs Usyk which is no mainstream and not PPV but it is 50-50. The only other good fights I see are Pacquiao vs Matthyse and Garcia vs Porter. I'm sure GGG will fight again but probably against some bum. And I don't think Wilder-Joshua will happen this year which would've been the biggest, richest fight of the year.

It’s not denial, I come here for all my boxing news and while I have since read reports elsewhere containing the comments from Hearn there was nothing on boxing scene at the time i posted.
Anyway it’s canelos fault for being such a pampered diva these days that fans are skeptical he would take a fight that may make him look bad.

Yeah, they're coming off a 70/30 with Canelo. I don't think the OG should get 50/50, either. I would settle for 65/35 or 60/40 if I were him.

I think the risk of him or Canelo losing is real. Maybe he thinks the fight can wait but I would rather not risk it.
Hopefully both guys engage in meaningful fights going forward.

If Golovkin does not fight Canelo, I'm thinking he fight Derevy and then Murata. After that I don't know. Depends what happens with Canelo. There is BJS (would be good money fight but can they come to an agreement), Jacobs and the Charlo. I'd like to see Charlo but I think he is on the bottom of the totem pole based on $ potential.

Golovkin at 50/50, even if you go conservative and project only 1.2m PPVs, you're looking at 1.2m*$70 = 84m/2 = 42m * 50% = 21m.
still i think they will cancel any negotiations with jacobs if ggg takes a 60-40 split... but no chance at 50-50... canelo looked at cotto as a legend, i dont think he has that much respect for ggg after all the trash talk lately...
