When you have two wins over the former number one guy on the p4p list, and you draw the the number 2 guy on the list, then you definitely belong in the top 5. If Taylor was fighting the Sharmba Mitchells and Zab Judahs of the middleweight division, I'm sure he look like a p4p number one choice. When you fight guys that are top 5 p4p though, it's hard to look great.

There was nothing impressive about Taylor in any of those fights aside from his heart and will.

In the first Hopkins fight, B-Hopp kicked his ass from round 8 on. If Bernard had started earlier, he woulda won.

In the second Hopkins fight, the only differenc were fewer punches and less drama. I scored it a draw. Neither man impressed me.

In the Wright fight, Taylor fought the Wrong fight; and I had Winky winning with relative ease.

No, Jermain Taylor does not deservre to be in the Top 5.

Wow, I've had Taylor at #4 since he beat Hopkins. The Ring is ****. But I do agree with the top 4 now.

since you were at the fight then all those punchs that winky threw when they were in close you may have felt at the time that they were landing clean on taylor and they weren't everytime winky threw somthing taylor came right back with something stronger and most of the time better, enough better that in repeadetly with one punch thrown winky would quicky step back out if not taylor would force winky back out with his punchs.

winky fought the fight of his life, i say taylor has more power then vargas but seeing how winky was able to take some of those shots maybe vargas hits harder, but then again taylor didn't follow up on a few times that he had winky wobbled and ready to hit the canvas.

winky has already shown taylor all he has, and it wasn't enough, taylor can still do so much more.

                  I agree 100%

It's just hard to look good against Hopkins and Winky. Taylor could've just destroyed those two German middleweight pretenders(Abraham & Sturm) and garnered some belts, but he opted to fight the top elites.

Taylor haters might argue that Taylor lost all the three fights, but he wasn't dominated in any shape or form. Taylor proved that he can hang with the top guys eventhough the outcome wasn't convincing enough.

LOL you act like it was so obvious. I can see a draw but not a Wright victory under any circumstances.
