Ward vs Kovalev I was a close fight. I felt Ward win 7 rounds. But if Judges would start counting very close rounds as even, I think Kovalev would have won the fight because he had the more definitive rounds.

Ward didn't beat Kovalev, the judges and referee best Kovalev.

Andre award award flat out fought to SURVIVE the first fight. Kovalev won 5-6 rounds to start the fight and won 2 rounds the final 6 with one round even. Kovalev had three dominant rounds in 1,2 & 10 which ironically the paid off Roc Nation judges scored round ten all for Ward which cost Kovalev the fight...Sheer corruption to protect the last American hope in Andre Ward.

Fight 2 was pure corrupted right from the announcement which came TWO MONTHS LATE BECAUSE WARD WAS FINISHING A STEROID CYCLE IN FEBRUARY AND BECAME CLEAN ENOUGH BY LATE MARCH WHEN VADA TESTING BEGAN....

The fight however saw a much bulkier roided up Ward have more snap but Kovalev was outboxing him through 7 rounds 5-2.

The low blows landed early took its toll in round 8 where Ward got away with a vicious low blow that buckled Kov and even Ward backed off expecting to be penalized but Weeks said fight on. Ward then landed that big right after Kovalev was still hurting from the low blow . Ward punched himself out trying to finish and Kovalev was going to come on but Ward landed three straight Andrew Golota blows to hunch over Kovalev and push him down while Mr Magoo Tony Weeks just let it happen and called it a TKO.
Still can't believe my eyes how a fight on ppv can turn into a mugging . But the North American boxing establishment needed to protect an American fighter vs another Eastern fighter. Politics and corruption are a nasty reminder of just how desperate these people are for an American hope, someone to attract Mayweather type $$$ fan following keeping the boxing economy going on in USA. They hand picked Ward to be that guy and let him make a mockery out of boxing. Maybe the most di****able fight in history as far as corruption, beating Resto vs Collins for that dishonor,

Yes I know the 3 judges didn't think chilmeba won either. I can be like you too.

          "Lemieux was robbed vs Saunders"
You can't just make claims because you don't know how to score a fight.
And to look for press row scores it's very easy to google. It's within the first page if you google Alvarez vs chilmeba press scores. If you can't find it then... I don't know what to tell you without holding your habd

How can u say Ward was only concerned with survival the first fight when the only round u can even come close to saying he was in danger was the 2nd ?

Most even consider the knockdown in that round a flash knockdown.

Some of these post seem to be such extreme hyperbole that I have to debate with myself whether or not I’m gonna respond.

And he certainly won't have judges in his pocket to ignore that.

If Kovalev comes in less than the sum of his parts when they're all finely tuned, yes Alvarez has a good chance. Otherwise, he'll likely wear out from body and head shots before the 10th. Alvarez has some serious talent, yes, but Kovalev... even with the Ward issues, isn't some pushover. That's just wishful thinking. I wonder if Kovalev can get past Beterbiev, Stevenson, Bivol, Smith Jr. But not all that concerned about this fight.

Yeah yeah, whatever. Already been thru this with you before. I avoid TV in the summer because I'm bored with reruns like most people. Kovalev landed more punches. Ward connected higher percentage. But, AGAIN, Kovalev landed more punches. AND knocked Ward down. AND was champ. Now, let it go... Mr. Broken Record.

Perfect analysis, totally agree. All the guys telling the opposite, are just Kov's haters. Alvarez better take some 'dirty-tricks' lessons from SOJ (head butts, low blows, judge corruption) and still will be badly punished from Krusher. What is funny, is that a lot of so-called 'experts', keep telling 'Kovalev is done after back-to-back robberies suffered from SOJ. They will be desperate after August 4, when Kovalev will break Alvarez down. Last but not least: Beterbiev is a bad-ass, no-doubt about this, but...who can really tell that is stronger than Krusher? Would his chin stand Kov's straight right hand??? I'm afraid he'd beat his bum hard on the canvas, if they came toe-to-toe...

right so you couldnt find any sources, got it.

the only thing that comes up on google, is how controversial the decision is and how it was a 'home town decision' not one article is about how the fight and the press clearly scored it to alvarez, you weird little lying mong

Easier said than done. There's mma fighters with less variety in their game than ward. He can do it all, wrestle, clinch, headbutt, elbow.

With such poor vision, he may have a difficult time seeing punches coming at him. Maybe he should give up boxing and be a judge or a referee instead.
