He's traveled before why wouldn't he again. He said he would fight in the UK in the interview I just posted from last week. He won't for that flat fee offer though. Hearn said he's made an improved offer but we all don't know what it is. Hearn has no problem staging a Jarrell Miller fight in the US but doesn't want AJ fighting Wilder there for by far his biggest payday!? I think both AJ and Wilder want the fight, I just don't think Hearn does right at this moment

He'll sell out stadiums whether now or down the line. What's the difference if the rematch is in the USA doing it the other way round?
Earns more in the US. Perfectly sensible first fight there.Comment

It's about image and 'alpha male' ****.
Wilder thinks that by being on the side of the money and forcing Joshua to travel he is the 'A' side.
Joshua doesn't want to give him that satisfaction as he is the one with 3 belts, an ATG on his record, a unification and having sold 250k tickets in his last 3 fights.Comment

What can’t you understand, wilder said he would fight in the uk
Aj has 4 world titles
Is the biggest star in boxing now earning 20m per fight
Sells 1m ppvs per fight
He decides everything, wilder is the d side compared to Joshua making 1.5m per fight
Wilder is ducking, the offer is there to become a legend for wilder but he is too scared to make the move as he knows he will lose and is declining to fight
Remember when oscar fought Floyd or canelo vs triple ggg
The draw makes the rules
Wilder is just another fight for Joshua, you need to understand that, Joshua is the true champ and every time fans will make the next big thing to try to take him down and failComment

Frustrating......Wilder said he would fight in the uk given the right deal re..Whyte .AJ. said give him 50m he'd sign tomorrow.Seems they both don't want the fight!
Wilder should take it in the uk. and tell everyone what a diva AJ. is to sell it even more.If either was to get beat outside of this fight it would be Wilder that would come off worst, dangerous to fight and little to gain.A.J. would be guaranteed a massively paid rematch fee with his conqueror and then rebuilt.Comment

It'll happen - either next or in 2019 assuming AJ gets through Povetkin (which is by no means definite).
For what it's worth I think a lot of people are putting way too much emphasis on the $50m comment AJ made. Imagine it was a throwaway comment made in an interview (he did something similar with the Dana White $500m rumours).
Following that comment I would think Eddie Hearn or someone with a bit more sense will have sat him down and explained the importance of retaining control of the fight, AJ's legacy, earning potential over the next few fights etc.
I think there's a very structured plan for AJ's career, and fighting a high risk power puncher in your first fight in the US without Hearn controlling the event probably isn't part of that. If AJ keeps going how he has been, then he'll be clearing $50m over his next few fights easily anyway, wilder or not - so money isn't the major motivating factor. Hearn & co will do everything to stack the deck in AJ's favour, home territory, familiarity, control over timings, press commitments etc - all helps to give AJ better chance.Comment

EXACTLY! And they could come up with the $$$$ EASILY. You cant tell me some US Backers wouldnt give Al Haymon the $$$$$.Thats chump change to what these Casinos would bring in for the fight.Comment

Is it not now obvious for the AJ camp that the location is more important than money to them? Meaning, they pretty much abandoned the money part.
How about Wilder? If the fight is more important, how is it that $12.5 mil is not enough considering he's making around $1-2 mil per fight?
Canelo makes 20,000,000 and GGG usually $2,000,000. What did GGG get???
Dumb comment!Comment

I don't see what they're offering Wilder to come to the UK? Wilder initially said he would come to the UK for a 40% split. Hearn countered with that bull**** $12.5 million dollar flat-fee! AJ ran his mouth, asking for $50 million to come to the U.S.! Wilder countered the flat-fee offer with the $50 million dollars that AJ asked for! So what are they now offering Wilder to come to the UK? It has to be more than Parker, and he got 35%!Comment

Actually.....wilder knocked out Harrison in the UK, and called out fury in front of the entire country. Fury ducked and the brits defended him ducking Wilders challenge. He also offered fury a title shot in the UK and fury fought Christian hammer while he waited for the Wladimir vs Jennings fight to happen. Wilder has been calling out joshua since he paid to become the #2wbc hw after beating Kevin Johnson. Joshua instead overpaid Martin for his ibf title then ducked Ortiz to fight Wladimir for the vacant wba belt. It's always joshua with the excuses on why he can't fight wilder. Spin it how you want....but it's easy to see that joshua is scared and milking those belts as much as he can.
Let’s put this another way, Wilders record is indefensible. I know Wilder fan boys have to keep some faith cos he certainly ain’t proving anything with the opposition he takes on but the fact is this....your response was to defend Wilders willingness to fight overseas by pointing out that in his 28th fight Wilder travelled to the UK for a payday against a guy who had already lost six times, and whose career highlight was winning a Euro title (beating a guy with a record of 32-15 losses).
AJ on the other hand has only 21 fights (7 less than the illustrious win detailed above for Wilder). And he has all the other titles and has way more
ranking points on his record.
How’s about this, Wilder fans go stew for at least 10 more fights cos if you’re a Wilder fan you got no right to be calling out anybody. Your boy slept for 8 years and didnt challenge anyone for anything and picked up his trinket against a tomato can and has since done everything to avoid defending against anyone with a pulse.Comment
