Murata is probably a better fighter than Drev but unlikely to beat Golovkin.

    nope, Derevyanchenko is off the table

    Golovkin has TWO options..... fight Canelo, or fight Charlo

    Charlo was the mandatory..... when Canelo cancelled, Charlo was unavailable, so the mando switched to Derevyanchenko..... but this time Charlo is available, so Derevyanchenko will have to wait for his rotation

    so, NO..... don't try that lame excuse

    and btw, Golovkin is well-aware of his obligations..... when you are a multi-belt champion, you do not fight NO-HOPERS in showcase exhibition bouts..... you fight..... 1) mandatories..... 2) money-fights

    if Golovkin put himself in a difficult situation, with the INEXPLICABLE, RIDICULOUS, selection of Vanes..... then fkn hard luck for him

It's more like they both make 5x as much together while Canelo makes 2-3x what GGG does without him. This is also before the scandal, none of us know how that will affect his numbers if he doesn't fight Golovkin next, while GGG's sales are surely going to rise since, as he's gotten more exposure.

        vs Jacobs: $2.5m purse + minimum $4m from live gate & ppv.
        gate=$3.7m
        ppv=$11m (170,000x$65)
        ($15m-10%/2=X&Y-40%=$4m)

        vs Lemieux: $2m purse + minimum $2.5m from live gate & ppv
        gate=$2m
        ppv=$7.5m (150,000x$50)
        ($9.5m-10%/2=X&Y-40%=$2.5m)

        The standard breakdown as far as money is concerned is a 10% fee off the top for the distributor, with 45% each for the cable system and the promoter. So even if you figure both opponents got a 40% cut, the remaining figure is still quite large for both bouts.

        It was also reported that Golovkin made $5m from the Brook fight.

        Now take a look at Canelo: More guarantee & sales sure, but the real difference here is the 20% spit while GGG gave his opponents 40%. It's quite reasonable to believe that solid contenders will demand a larger slice of the pie going forward & not settle for such a small amount especially knowing they will get that from Golovkin's team. It doubles their ppv share & in effect earns them just as much even if the sales are doubled against Canelo.

        vs Khan: $3.5m purse + minimum $14m from live gate & ppv.
        gate=$7.4M
        ppv=$32.5m (500,000x$65)
        ($40m-10%/2=X&Y-20%=$14m)

        vs Smith: $3.5m purse + minimum $8.8m from live gate & ppv.
        gate=$5m
        ppv= $19.5m (300,000x$65)
        ($24.5m-10%/2=X&Y-20%=$8.8m)

        if what you are saying is true.....

        then the initial offers of 1.5mil made to both Saunders and Jacobs..... were disgraceful, and an obvious low-ball

        which is likely why Kell Brook made out like a bandit with 4-5mil

          Jacobs guaranteed purse was $1.75m. What drew out negotiations longer was all about the 40% gate/ppv cut which added at least another couple million total revenue for him...you keep missing this point.

          Same with Saunders, we don't know what his UK ppv cut would have been, but we can all guess that it would have been very similar to what Eubanks turned down & what Brook ended up taking.

          Let's put that in perspective to what Khan made from the Canelo fight.

          I was checking out those documents from the Haymon litigation. These are court documents & the facts can not be disputed. Canelo doesn't pay his opponents well, Khan only made 20%. You do the math if Golovkin pays you 40% vs 20% from Canelo, even if the ppv sales are twice as much, the earnings are still relatively the same.

          "Alvarez-Khan generated revenue of $27,707,448 and was Golden Boy’s most profitable fight of 2016. Khan made $6 million and Alvarez made $13,309,664 (80% of the net profits) while Golden Boy made net profits of $3,327,415.88."

          "Golovkin will pocket $2.5 million to Jacobs’ $1.75 million, not including PPV points and whatever sponsorship money each side will be receiving."

          Kell Brook vs Gennady Golovkin Purse Payouts:
          Gennady Golovkin - Guaranteed $5 million (Golovkin is not getting any UK PPV share).
          Kell Brook - Guaranteed $5 million (Brook might clear slightly more than Golovkin with his PPV contract with SkySports).

            Drev is not off the table unless the IBF and WBC agree to the rotation. The IBF has already mandated Golovkin to fight Drev prior to the WBC. Unless you know of a link or article stating that a compromise has been reached that's the way it stands right now. Canelo really stuck it to Golovkin by failing the drug test.
            Obviously its to Golovkin's advantage to only fight one mandatory rather than two but the IBF in the past have been very strict about manditories. If Canello is sucessful in ducking Golovkin by refusing to negotiate the purse split then Golovkin is in a bind.

              NOPE !..... you do !

              FACT: considering what you wrote above (which I knew) offering Jacobs a flat fee of 1.5mil - with NO counter-offer - and then quickly running off to fight Dominic Wade..... was an obvious low-ball

              they KNEW that 1.5mil would not get that fight done, they should have just shut their mouth and moved on

              and btw, they did the exact same thing to Saunders the first time that fight was discussed as well

              they were willing to split the pot more fairly with Hearn, because they actually wanted to fight Brook..... unlike Jacobs..... who 1) had to be ordered..... 2) survived a call for an early purse-bid by Team Bullshht..... 3) survived Golovkin dragging out the negotiation for MONTHS, so long that he missed a fight date due to the mando having to be rescheduled lol

              they missed a fight date to try avoid that fight lol

              offering Jacobs a flat fee of 1.5 mil and then running for the hills, but then happily turning Brook into a multi-millionaire..... was an obvious effort by Golovkin to avoid Jacobs

              FACT: they knew that 1.5 mil would not get the job done
              FACT: they knew that 1.5mil would not get the Saunders fight made either

                you don't seem to understand..... they HAVE a rotation that they have already agreed upon

                Charlo is next, but due to him being available, the IBF got their opportunity with Derevyanchenko

                Charlo is next dude, the WBC have spoken

                if Golovkin ducks Canelo, by refusing to accept a fair deal that he had previously agreed to..... then he will have to fight Charlo for peanuts, and hard luck for him

                  No Drev isn't off the table unless there is a unification fight. Like I said it appears that Canrlo is determined to duck Golovkin by refusing to negotiate a new contract.
