I aint hating so calm down. Where is the network cuts in your numbers???

But since you went far enough back for GGG... Show me Chavez and Cotto numbers??? Dont pick and choose to make your debate favor you.

Took out the rest for you.

The standard breakdown as far as money is concerned is a 10% fee off the top for the distributor, with 45% each for the cable system and the promoter.
Was trying to compare apples to apples. Still put Khan there which is larger than anyone out there for the sake of the argument. Canelo doesn't have another name like Cotto or Chavez to face, so why put those numbers there?

The network & promoter split the proceeds equally. That's why the number is divided in half to come up with the fighters (X&Y) gross pot. You then subtract that by the split between them.

Why do you use GGG's reported high numbers and Cabelo reported low numbers??? I also see you have Lemuix purse at $2 million when it was $1.5?? Just asking? Because your numbers seem to go out of their way for one fighter...

I actually used ESPN for all the PPV buy figures. Except Khan, but read below & you'll see why. His numbers were reported as 600,000 but the math doesn't check out so I adjusted slightly, but not nearly as much as the numbers show it should be.

"Golovkin will pocket $2.5 million to Jacobs’ $1.75 million, not including PPV points and whatever sponsorship money each side will be receiving."

"The telecast - which aired live from Madison Square Garden in New York City - sold 170,000 units, a figured first reported by Yahoo! Sports senior writer Kevin Iole"

Also from ESPN - "About 170,000 buys on HBO PPV"

"Golovkin’s previous PPV bout against David Lemieux in October 2015 saw him get $2 million to Lemieux’s $1.5 million."

"That event [Lemieux] also took place at Madison Square Garden, in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 20,000 and moving 153,000 PPV units."

Also from ESPN - "Just over 150,000 pay-per-view buys."

I was checking out those documents from the Haymon litigation.

"Alvarez-Khan generated revenue of $27,707,448 and was Golden Boy’s most profitable fight of 2016. Khan made $6 million and Alvarez made $13,309,664 (80% of the net profits) while Golden Boy made net profits of $3,327,415.88."

Live gate for this fight was $7.4 million. That means that the remaining 20 million was PPV sales
          20 million / 65 = 307K PPV buys.

Yes, some reports say the Khan fight sold as high as 600,000 buys, but others say as low a 332,000. I actually used higher numbers than I needed to try and avoid the haters.

"HBO saying today they are not going to announce a PPV buy number for Canelo-Khan, but we have the number, 332,000 buys & that is horrible, that's why the "no-announcement," -Rick Glaser

"Canelo Alvarez's return to the junior middleweight division against Liam Smith last month generated close to 300,000 pay-per-view buys" -ESPN

Ok. What was the gate total for Smith/Canelo.

And you just confirmed what I always thought. GGG was vastly underpaid??? Loeffler made a small fortune off him. and GGG pays his opponents almost on par with himself.

Did Cotto get over $50,000,000+ from Coke head Oscar??? They fleeced him If They did.

"Las Vegas generated 900,000 buys and about $58 million in domestic pay-per-view revenue, HBO announced on Thursday." -ESPN

              "Live gate of $12,470,200." -ESPN

"Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez have split tonight's $20 million fight purse 75-25 in Cotto's favor"

              ($70m-10%/2=X&Y-55%=$14.1m)

              Canelo made $19.1m - $5m purse + $14.1m from ppv & gate.
              Cotto made $32.3m - $15m purse + $17.3m from ppv & gate.

These numbers are all gross. GBP get's 20% for promoting. Put that in perspective; just as much as Smith & Khan made from ppv (if he didn't have his Boxnation deal as well). This is why there are so many promoters!

Canelo needs to stop behaving and making demands as if he won the fight. He lost the fight and he looks dirtier now in the process

All right since youve been so kind to answer my questions and no names were called...

I have one more question to ask? And I'll leave you alone. Your good with numbers so what odds do you give GGG and Canelo fighting on Sept. 15th 2018?

10% as GGG said, especially now that Saunders pulled out of the Murray fight. I'm 90% expecting Golovkin vs Saunders in August.

I'm sure Loeffler will overpay once again, as you said earlier, but this is what it takes to get the people in the ring against you. I'm all for it too. Really think Golovkin is over Canelo, at least for now. He'll finally unify & then probably Murata on New Years. He won't need to care about the belts anymore & will be able to call his shots...finally.
