Hearn needs to stop bull****ting..... they obviously have no intention of making that fight

Link to the IFL video the quotes are taken from https://********/zVnbbeNHJZ4 (boxingscene gets a mention funnily enough).
Eddie seems relatively relaxed about the Wilder fight (discussed about 20 mins in). Wilder essentially has first refusal on the September date, if it doesn't happen then AJ fights Povetkin and then Wilder after that. UK for the first fight is non negotiable and Wilder has about 10 days to agree to the fight or not, Hearn thinks that he will.
For what it's worth, I expect Povetkin to happen first, and actually think that's a really dangerous fight for AJ, Povetkin is smaller than him, technically decent, relatively mobile and has good power. AJ has shown in the Parker & Takam fights that he doesn't always deal well with that type of opponent, so it could be dicey.
If AJ comes through that fight, I would expect Wilder to be next up and that's a 50/50 fight. Could definitely see Wilder cracking AJ out very early - he has that freaky power!
I don't think either side is really ducking, I just think Hearn knows AJ has high earning alternatives, and Wilder doesn't, so is trying to leverage everything he can to get the fight to be advantageous for his fighter. Wilder and his team are trying their luck to turn this around, but will probably cave in the end and the fight happens either in Sept or early 2019... unless Povetkin ruins the party.Last edited by nick_viking; 06-01-2018, 03:53 PM.

The upside for Wilder to go to the UK is bigger than for AJ to go to the U.S.
And I guess it shows if AJ chooses to move on.
Sad and frustrating.

I’m about tired of this bs! AJ is looking a lil scared right now, imo. Wilder will do whatever he pleases if AJ doesn’t man up. Hearn is looking like the new and improved Arum. I don’t think the fight happens anytime soon. Bc AJ is being a diva, damn a side. Let him taste some of PEDvetkin’s b side meth and we’ll see what’s next. I hope PEDvetkin gets all in AJ, both ways! Lol

Povetkin is tough but even he admits he struggles with tall guys and Joshua is not just tall he likes inside fighting .
Breazeale is more of a threat to limited Wilder , who can be hit easier against taller guys then Joshua .
I believe its a mistake for Wilder to roll the dice here no matter what odds you think Breazeale has , the guy is 6'7 and packs a wallop .
Povetkin is the better win ,so im not saying that .

I guess they think Josh needs some fine-tuning before facing a dangerous athletic puncher like Wilder. I think Josh is better than Wilder but its still to risky for Hearn to risk his cash-cow. Joshua could rule for another 10 years if hes properly managed and Hearn is no idiot. Im sure the fight will happen sooner than later though, believe that!
