I definitely want to see Crawford in the mix too, but if Bob starts that "only on ESPN," it might be tough for Crawford! Showtime (Espinoza) has been very good partners for Haymon, Thurman, Garcia, Porter, and Spence Jr.!

If he's waiting on Thurman it will be a long wait. Thurman will want a tune-up when he finally gets back to action. After that he likely has a rematch with winner of Garcia/Porter. That rematch likely won't take place until first half of 2019. So, earliest I see Spence/Thurman (providing Thurman doesn't get injured again) is second half of 2019. That would put Spence/Crawford into 2020. Spence also talked about moving to 154 so who knows if this fight ever happens.

a chance for spence to fight crawford on a much bigger platform than showtime. what's so bad about that?obviously that would be great for spence's career.

If it's not a PPV, ESPN would be better. However, I think Spence Jr. vs. Crawford is PPV worthy, and in that case Showtime is as good as it gets! Mayweather vs. Canelo, Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, and Mayweather vs. McGregor did huge numbers on Showtime! ESPN hasn't pulled off an event like that yet!

Let them fight a few higher rated fighters, maybe they will be known by millions of people. By that more people from those who will know them will be prepared to buy the fight. That increase in numbers is marketshare. So at the moment, the few fans who know the fighters will enjoy the fight but the fighters make nothing, the promoters make nothing. Wait 2-3 years everyone gains because more fans will watch and enjoy it, fighters will make big purses, promoters will also gain and boxing will be better off as a whole. The fight will come, just premature to make it right now.
don't you understand that spence will be "to big" for Crawford in 3-4 years. they have to fight soon while both are WW's
