I woudn't read too much into it. Nobody walked away. Golden Boy knows they're vulnerable and are trying to act tough that nothing in recent history bothered them. They're acting outraged specifically because of this reason - trying to see if Golovkin is bluffing or not.

No it's not deal was in place all GGG had to do was sign then he decided he wants a 50-50 split so he priced himself out !! Second if his so sure that he can beat Canelo and won the first fight why not take the present deal defeat Canelo then he holds all the cards for the 3 rd fight ! Glovokin and his team are throwing away 15 million ( 35%) cause he thinks it's unfair when he just fought for a million dollars against Vans. If he loses the rematch he loses any percentage going forward cause numbers don't lie the man can't sell ppv . Even with his big drama show act and his true Mexican stlye of fighting helped him in the beginning but he layed an egg against DJ . Fought very careful and barely took any chances that night , if it wasn't for the knockdown the fight would've been a draw . Alot of people believed Danny won the fight even with the knockdown . Big Drama show against Jnr middle weights and cab drivers , Super cautious against top notch fighters . Why didn't he walk down DJ and Canelo like he did Brook and Vans , ohh that's right there not Small men !!

GGG is getting screwed here but I don't think a positive test suddenly means he is entitled to a 50/50 split. Yes he should get something more than he originally was but lets not get crazy
I think the 50/50 was just a starting point, I do not believe for one second think they believe that is what the final deal would be.

I think 40-45% was more likely. I think most likely 42% at max but no less than 40% is probably what they were thinking. I think that is reasonable. From GBP I might not relent past 40%. This really isn't all that difficult. I hope GBP is just playing a little hard ball but IDK. If they straight up just walked away then I tend to think they weren't willing to bug one penny from 35% and that is not reasonable given what Canelo failed to do.

They only do that if they really believe Canelo's last 9 months have not had any impact on his earning potential, I think they are misguided there. Also, I really do not see who out there is going to give Canelo the type of money he can make with Golovkin. Lots of those fights will pay much less and have substantial risk.

Maybe so. But reading alot of the posts on this subject, alot of posters, especially some GGG fans, think the split should now be 50/50 since Canelo got flagged and suspended.

GGG wants a 50/50 split even though he can barely do 100k PPV buys without canelo

How can anyone defend this??? GGG killed the negotiations with this ridiculous demand
