Maybe so. But reading alot of the posts on this subject, alot of posters, especially some GGG fans, think the split should now be 50/50 since Canelo got flagged and suspended.

I will never put my fandom before my reason. I am a Golovkin fan. Yeah in a fair world he might get 50/50 but we are dealing with facts. Anyone no less than 50/50 is either a fan or not dealing with the real world. Same with the Canelo fan who says 35% and no more. When they start throwing in Golovkin is "ducking" they've moved into a ridiculous territory.

Canelo is the guy who brings in more views. He is the headliner. Without him Golovkin is not making anywhere near the type of money he does with Canelo. Golovkin does bring in views and Canelo also benefits. I think Canelo actually also now has more to gain if he were to win going forward than Golovkin would. Excluding money in this one fight Canelo has more to lose by it not happening IMO.

GBP made an offer. BBB sides team wanted more but has no leverage to ask for more. GBP made it clear that was their final offer, BBB side can take it or leave it. Making a more than fair offer and the other side not accepting it is not walking away.

GGG is playing hardball as IMO he should. Coka dela Spatula and Clenelo are doing the same. IMO this is all posturing and a deal will get done for September because there is too much money to be made.

GGG is getting screwed here but I don't think a positive test suddenly means he is entitled to a 50/50 split. Yes he should get something more than he originally was but lets not get crazy

Time will tell. Canelo was aiming for something more than he is currently, I think in the last 9 months that is dead. I do not see another 1M fight from him if he does not fight Golovkin again. Not sure there are too many guys still left at MW or JMW who even get him to 500K. I do think the curiosity factor for his first return fight will be high so a possible temporary bump up. If he fights a guy like Spike in September it will interesting. I'm leaning towards that fight doing less than 300K.

They didn't send a counter-offer. They left the table despite them withdrawing from the last fight and failed drug tests.


They walked away once again with the tail between their legs.

GG is the one that ****ed up. They tried to play hardball and ****ed up. Who is GG going to make money with now? Asking for 50/50? When has GG ever sold ppvs? If he wants to go that route fine, but Dlh was forced to walk away. They should've just negotiated for more money not 50/50. If GG fights Derevyanchenko ill lose respect for him.

they was some agreement cause team GGG says they did agree to the rematch arleady but NOW cause of XYZ they want more compensention. So yea a agreement was made before but nothing officials it appears. This is just GGG trying to extrot canelo out of some $$$$$

I don't think they will get a better offer from the may rematch if they end up getting extra 5% good for them but I don't think Canelo people would want to do them a favor
