The problem with this tactic by Loeffler is that Golovkin's image has also taken a hit too by refusing to fight Derevyachenko. Had Golovkin fought Derevyachenko on May 5th, he would be the driver's seat here and the fans would overwhelmingly be on his side. It was PR nightmare when Golovkin's backup opponents were revealed and even worse once Vanes was chosen. But the Vanes fight turned a lot of people off.

GGG's management needs to get more realistic. Greedy fkers.
He’s not greedy, he took both the first and rematch fights as champion with little percentage. Canelo got caught cheating and wasted GGG time. So it’s not greed, it’s the third time, and as far as I’m concerned ggg won both the first two. Canelo does need to prove he can fight ggg while clean.

And let's not forget the fact that he was too scared to move up, sitting in a dead division with c level fighters lol ..not a canelo fan but that dude fought at welterweight and went up to face this fraud, that's a step bumlovkin will never take.
Dude, Canelo only fought at WW when he was a literal kid. GGG was from a country without strong pro system, but at 19 he was a WW too. GGG went to 160 before he turned pro.

Canelo fought a WW for his first strap at 154. He ended up getting his MW strap at 155. And then squeezed to 154 for first time in three years after refusing legit testing. So give me a break, Canelo has been a huge JRMW, but his best wins are not exactly barn burners. That bum Vanes took Canelo best win into deep waters.

His imagine took such a big hit he ended up with the most watched hbo fight since 2016. How horrible.

Do you actually believe it's his management?? It's Golovkin. Loeffler would sign in an instant if Golovkin didn't protest. Golovkin is pissed off and he's getting stubborn over the purse split. Don't blame him.

                So whats the problem?
The problem is it was 35% prior to Canelo having a cow over the rematch.

It's not GGG's fault, that Geale and Lemieux were the only top level middleweights who were trying to fight him, before he fought Brook.

You'd be ashamed of having nearly all the top fighters in your division pissing their pants? You'd be ashamed of the "face of boxing", handing you a world title, and then claiming that he isn't a middleweight, just to avoid fighting you? You'd be ashamed of having to fight the #1 welterweight at the time, because Chris Eubank Sr's hypejob of a son ducked the contract? Canelo spent most of his career weight bullying, but GGG should be ashamed to call himself a champion, for fighting one welterweight? Look, boys and girls, that's your brain on fanboyism.

GGG has no reason to move up. He's almost undisputed at his current division, there are good opponents available, he's making decent money, and he has zero problems making weight. Move up for what, so haters like you can look for another reason to bash him? Canelo was a massive welterweight, and a fat light middleweight. Dude was fighting lightweights and super lightweights, lookin like the incredible Hulk . He also dropped his WBC strap, because he didn't want the smoke, and then had some fake beef with the WBC, because they tried to do their job. You say GGG's a fraud, but one could argue that if it weren't for Oscar De La Coka, Canelo would have a few losses on his record. 118-110 doe.

Whereas GGG promoter needs the fight to keep the lights on. Happy to see Canelo move on. Jacobs made more money than GGG last fight! Great job!!!!!

Totally wrong thinking. The last thing in the world Canelo needs is to fight after 4 months of testing and get blown out of the water. If Canelo was juiced for the first fight, as I suspect he was, no way he wants this rematch. A rematch will not save Canelo’s image, just the opposite in fact.
