Whether people like him or not, GGG is the man to beat at Middleweight. As the defending champion, he should command a bigger slice of the cake and considering he was the better fighter when he fought Canelo last year (including the failed drug test), he is entitled to dictate terms. Canelo doesn't have any bargaining chips to bargain with. I think Golden Boy promotions are looking for a way out of the fight. Oscar has brought up Spike O’Sullivan as one of the possibilities for Canelo to fight on September 15, and he’s the one that a lot of hardcore boxing fans believe he’ll fight. canelo vs chavez sold well for the mexican rivalry, there is no such a thing with ggg... ggg-chavez will do no better than chavez-maravilla... and chavez was hot back then, not like the chavez that fought canelo... chavez without canelo is not a ppv fighter anymore, same goes for ggg...Comment

They also said Canelo's image was tarnished after he vacated the belt.
He went on sell 1.3 mil PPV's w/o GGG after he dropped the belt. GGG went on to sell 160k PPV's after he told Canelo to give him his belt
There is a disconnect between boxing media/ggg fans & reality
Canelo did get flack after he vacated hias belt isnt? Untill what happened? Oh right he fought GGG. then all of sudden Canelo was a real mexican warrior and all that ****.
Guess what, PED scandal, Canelo again gets the flack, guess what he needs to do to clean his image and prove the World he wasnt on peds.
Thats right, fight GGG.
And dont come to tell " oh he proved his inocence with the test" people just want to see him fight GGG just to see if there isnt any difference in that fightComment

"We sent them an contract in April, they came back with changes, we accepted those changes"...
Tom Loeffler
“Both promoters, we’re ready to go to start promoting this fight. We’re just waiting on the fighters’ side, just to finalize any of the outstanding details there would be. … There is, for sure, a structure in place for it to take place – basically for it to be rescheduled from the May fight to the September date.”
both promoters had no issue, guess who did ??? give me 50-50 lol...
yea..... if you are even semi-intelligent, the question over who wants it and who does not, seems pretty damn obvious lol
but it will be funny to hear the muppets spin itComment

Loeffler is a ****ing terrible promoter in terms of what he has done and continues to do so with GGG.
He can't haggle or barter, he fails to capitalise on a strong hand in negotiations and shows it right away when he has a weak one.
Look atHearn...there is always a contingency, a fall back.. a plan B ready to go such as Takam or povetkin in the scenario of the wilder fight not happening. Fingers in multiple pies..
Loeffler isn't talking to anybody else at all about setting up a fight .. not Charlo not derevyanchenko not Jacobs not nobody.
He'll sit and allow his fighter to age unnecessarily...chasing money they aren't entitled to and hand over any ****ing advantage his man may have.
Loeffler is a ****ing idiot..and he should be happy with 40% max given their respective revenue streams and outreach
Loeffler is no better and no worse than any of the current crop of US promoters at engaging with casual sports fans and getting them interested in boxing and boxers. Which is to say ... not very good at all.
5 minutes listening to a Tom Loffler interview, with him droning away in that monotone voice, with that expressionless face, saying nothing at all that I didn't already know before he started talking, is enough to make me feel bored, and I'm a hardcore fan.Comment

it sounds like Golovkin had a re-think on his position
if he loses to Canelo in September, which is the most likely scenario..... what will he have accomplished within the sport other than 2x Canelo paydays and a solid effort with Jacobs?
hmmm..... break Hopkins record, and than lose to Canelo?..... or just lose to Canelo?..... hmm, now what will I do?
pretty sure I know why they ALL started talking about Murata immediately following the Vanes fightComment

You won't agree with that, of course, because you're a biased troll.Comment

Dude I told you, stop. You only see what you want to see.

Failing a PED test then withdrawing from the rematch definitely won't be making them feel any better about him than they did then.Comment

Golovkin should have relocated to the UK and signed up with Hearn when he left Germany. He would have been selling out stadiums and earning $10million per fight by now.

the very first time that I got that feeling from Tom Loeffler was around 2012/2013
let me ask you something.....
what if you had instincts that were a little more well-developed?..... and were perhaps viewing Golovkin/Loeffler more from a boxing perspective than a "hardcore fan" perspective?
and what if you also had a little industry knowledge/experience..... and you KNEW that packaged alongside Tom Loeffler's "droning away in that monotone voice, with that expressionless face, saying nothing at all"..... was a bunch of LIES..... statements that Tom categorically knew were not true, but he painted pictures and told silly stories to place his fighter in a better position anyway?
lies and stories that were OBVIOUSLY rubbish ?
right
now you know how we feel lol
for the record..... Gennady either co-signed..... or played along with..... or said absolutely nothing about..... all of those lies lol
and he is 100% responsible/accountableComment
