Whether people like him or not, GGG is the man to beat at Middleweight. As the defending champion, he should command a bigger slice of the cake and considering he was the better fighter when he fought Canelo last year (including the failed drug test), he is entitled to dictate terms. Canelo doesn't have any bargaining chips to bargain with. I think Golden Boy promotions are looking for a way out of the fight. Oscar has brought up Spike O’Sullivan as one of the possibilities for Canelo to fight on September 15, and he’s the one that a lot of hardcore boxing fans believe he’ll fight.

You should consider going into comedy as a profession. Canelo IS the A side of this, no matter what GGG fans think. In this sport, the fighter with the most drawing power is the A side, champ or not. And BTW, if GGG is so great, why did he just keep following Canelo instead of cutting off the ring? Either he isn't capable, or Abel is clueless in how to teach him to do that. If GGG fights, unless it's Canelo, there are WAY less ticket sales than when Canelo fights. No matter Canelo's opponent. If Canelo and GGG accept 60/40 in Canelo's favor, this fight could happen.

Canelo does not need GGG to save his image! All he needs is either Saunders, Jacobs, or Charlo! I'm of the opinion that GGG should NOT fight Canelo to save his own image! GGG tried to build a persona of the fighter "who is NOT businessman," "the belts are what are important," etc. The more he pursues Canelo, it makes him look nuch more like a hypocrite! Canelo has no title, Canelo is a PED cheat, Canelo has no signature win @ 160! GGG can't really explain his obsession, besides his desire for money!
