Loeffler is a ****ing terrible promoter in terms of what he has done and continues to do so with GGG.
He can't haggle or barter, he fails to capitalise on a strong hand in negotiations and shows it right away when he has a weak one.
Look atHearn...there is always a contingency, a fall back.. a plan B ready to go such as Takam or povetkin in the scenario of the wilder fight not happening. Fingers in multiple pies..
Loeffler isn't talking to anybody else at all about setting up a fight .. not Charlo not derevyanchenko not Jacobs not nobody.
He'll sit and allow his fighter to age unnecessarily...chasing money they aren't entitled to and hand over any ****ing advantage his man may have.
Loeffler is a ****ing idiot..and he should be happy with 40% max given their respective revenue streams and outreachComment

Whether people like him or not, GGG is the man to beat at Middleweight. As the defending champion, he should command a bigger slice of the cake and considering he was the better fighter when he fought Canelo last year (including the failed drug test), he is entitled to dictate terms. Canelo doesn't have any bargaining chips to bargain with. I think Golden Boy promotions are looking for a way out of the fight. Oscar has brought up Spike O’Sullivan as one of the possibilities for Canelo to fight on September 15, and he’s the one that a lot of hardcore boxing fans believe he’ll fight. Comment

Canelo sold a million PPVs with Chavez Jr and 1.3 million with GGG.
With Liam Smith, he sold 300k.
And that was before he tested positive for PEDs, and it was a world title fight.
Here's something to consider .. how many PPVs would GGG have sold with Chavez Jr, on the same date Canelo fought him?
I'm guessing it would be a lot closer to 1million than to 170k, Golovkin's last number vs Jacobs.Comment

GGG is shook. He's convinced Canelo was juiced in their first meeting because he's not accustomed to the lower tier opponents he's faced being able to withstand his best shots and still fire back. It was a grueling fight for both men and GGG doesn't seem eager to step back into the ring with him (especially since he believes he deserved the decision in their first meeting), unless it's for an exorbitant retirement purse.
Canelo, for his part, has voluntarily submitted to additional testing which gave further credence to the claim that his trace positive result was caused by contamination, and he's submitted to year round testing to reassure his opponents and the fans that he's clean.
Bottom line: as the A-side draw he has no reason to concede a 50/50 split. He isn't the social security administration, he's under no obligation to provide GGG with retirement pay. So for the sake of boxing and his own financial interest, I hope GGG abandons his dellsional demands and accepts the fight. He squandered so much of his early career, he can't afford to allow opportunities like this slip away.Comment

“Both promoters, we’re ready to go to start promoting this fight. We’re just waiting on the fighters’ side, just to finalize any of the outstanding details there would be. … There is, for sure, a structure in place for it to take place – basically for it to be rescheduled from the May fight to the September date.”
both promoters had no issue, guess who did ??? give me 50-50 lol...Last edited by icha; 05-28-2018, 02:31 PM.Comment

They also said Canelo's image was tarnished after he vacated the belt.
He went on sell 1.3 mil PPV's w/o GGG after he dropped the belt. GGG went on to sell 160k PPV's after he told Canelo to give him his belt
There is a disconnect between boxing media/ggg fans & realityComment
