im a golovkin fan, but he wont beat Hopkins record. They always include his run as the WBA regular Champion into his title record and that is not a proper belt if there is a WBA super champ (Sturm) around.

It is not his fault that sturm avoided him for years, but his wba regular title shouldnt be counted towards his title record.

I actually enjoyed the Vanes fight more than GGG/Clenelo. At least Vanes came to fight so I don’t give a **** if GGG tells ginger to ****off. GGG has a line up of good fights which will be most likely more entertaining that what Clenelo would ever bring.

GGG still has all the belts though. Other than the Ring but you don't need that title to be undisputed right? He would need Saunders belt. There would be some people who claim Canelo is the real champion but the obvious rebuttal to that is that neither S Martinez nor Cotto were eager to fight GGG when they held the Ring belt.
So what's Canelo going to do? He has nowhere else to go.

GGG will come begging for that 35% in less then a year, Team Canelo needs to hold. GGG is no spring chicken, he's going to fight Jacoobs or Charlo for maybe 1/5th of what he makes against Canelo. If Canelo fights Jacobs or Charlo he will sell 600k+ ppv and he will pay those guys $3-4 million compared to the $30 million GGG wants.

His toughest fights against solid C+ to B- (maybe B) level guys in Danny and Ca$h. And he arguably lost BOTH of those fights. The KD probably won the Danny fight and Ca$h did beat him outright, but Khazakh spent his whole damn purse on the judges!

If canelo is smart enough he should go for Saunders belt. But to be honest I'm not sure if he can win that fight. Saunders was very impressive in my opinion.
