On Saturday night at Centre Videotron in Quebec City, former IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (38-5, 33 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Karim Achour (26-5-3, 4 KOs). Achour went down in the twelfth and final round, and the official judges handed down scorecards of 119-108, 120-107 and 119-107.

    I'd have to agree here.

Much earlier in Pascal's career I didn't care much for his style. Over the years, and as his athletic abilities have slowly diminished, he really grew on me. He's a warrior. Seems like a decent fellow too. His war with Elbiali was very entertaining and I was glad ol' Jean was able to turn back the young prospect. Not sure what would have happened if he had ever fought Stevenson, I'd probably have to favor Adonis, but it would have been a helluva event.

As for Lemieux, I think Pascal is right that the 168 division is tough for him but I'm not sure his body can continue to make the 160lb limit.

He's a fat junior middleweight IMO, he has a weird body shape. All gut and ass and not much muscle elsewhere.

He will get killed at SMW by anyone who can punch.

He feels that Lemieux, at 5'9", is too small to handle the larger super-middleweights?
I'm sure there were 'experts' who said things like that about Mike Tyson, Joe Frazier, and Rocky Marciano, who were all similar in height to Lemieux, and shorter than the average heavyweight. Lemieux could conceivably do well at 168, especially with careful matchmaking. Arthur Abraham, for instance, has been able to have success and win world titles even though he is not considered an elite super middleweight. Lemieux's defense is not as tight as Abraham's, but if he carries his power with him, and he feels fresher (less drained) at 168, he could be a serious threat.

Benavides, Groves, Zurdo are too big for Lemieux.

He just needs dedication. No reason he can't make 160.

Billy Joe Saunders coined him "short legs" and he even offered to give Lemieux a pair of his sons trousers.
So 168 would not be a good move

Match making will be key for him at 168. Can he beat degale or Eubanks jr? Maybe .
