That's a possibility except those guys may not fight for only 30%. They aren't going to generate the same dollars as a Golovkin fight at a 50/50 split. At this point it's getting past the money. It's both guys digging in their heels and trying not to appear weak.

The plan from Golden boy was to have Spike fight Canelo or Golovkin. Spike said this was what GB was grooming him for prior to the rematch. When he was going to fight Golovkin and the money fell apart GB signed him to a three fight deal. The money is supposed to be more than most world champions made in the last two years. He jumped at it. I don't blame him but GB was clearly trying to put a monkey wrench in the Golovkin fight. Especially since they scheduled the Spike Berlin Abreu fight on May 4. So yeah Gomez is the Spin Doctor and a sneaky little P Rick.

I'm talking about being pissed off. Haven't you ever been angry enough to ignore what other consider common sense. Golovkin is pissed off thinks he deserves half the money and he's sticking to it. Canelo isn't going to give in so the fight is off. Nobody wants to back down. Personally I'd like Golovkin to tell him to go kick cans down the road but it's his decision.
