A "Gentleman's agreement" to take the fight to a points decision, in order to set up a rematch?

I had the same feeling myself. There was something not quite right about Canelo boxing on the back foot and GGG not opening up with power shots when he trapped him on the ropes ... very strange.

... it was a blatant fix... after watching that fight I lost any interest in the rematch -- because I couldn't be sure it would be "for real" or for a trilogy... that happens when big money rules this sport...

If it was a fix then both guys got what they deserved. Canello ended up with his reputation tarnished even more and G ended up with a draw. Both guys lost the rematch money. Personally I'm on the fence leaning towards no fix but it's very su****ious. Hell the were talking trilogy before the first punch was thrown. It was ****** if nothing else.

Of course Golovkin deserves more money than Canelo! I mean did you guys at GDB promotions see what a massive record breaking successful fight Golovkin just had with Martirosyan and not to mention the PPV numbers???

Usually the guy who fails a drug test then pulls out of the fight before anyone has even asked him to takes a pay cut.

I like to see minutes of fight negotiations be made public so everybody knows exactly what demands are, these guys are always playing the media propaganda game of he said she said, the first fight was a draw the money for the rematch should reflect that and it should also reflect the fact that Canelo tested Pos for PEDs canceling the bout, I have no favorite here and think GGG deserves more than 35%, for me that is ridicules .
